Forgotten Heroes

As I understand it, many of the matchday "jobs" (turnstiles, programmes, collecting money in the stand, selling raffle, draw tickets etc.,) are undertaken on a voluntary basis.

 

Just a word of thanks, then, for all of those volunteers who undertake those tasks to make it more enjoyable for us all and to help the club. Especially yesterday when we had around 1000 extra (alright - allowing for the Ramsgate supporters) in attendance.

 

I, together, with my son in law and grandson, thoroughly enjoyed the game and hope that all of those additional supporters who turned up will make the effort and return for the rest of the season.

In cold conditions, maybe the club could offer those who don't get paid on the turnstiles or elswhere, a cup of tea. A tea bag,water and a little milk doesn't cost much does it!
