Fingers on buzzers Brian !!

Have you paid up yet Gazza ? If not then do so quickly, then you can vote to sack Daish !!!

You stick Akinde in, & Chukki out, in out, in out & shake it all about! You pay your 35 quid & you have a vote, that's what it's all about.

( all together now )

oohhhh pay the 'kin money, oohhhh pay the 'kin money, oohhhh pay the 'kin money, knees bent & arms raised & sack the Coach !!

Is it New Year yet ?

Cheers,

Doesn't need me to shell out £35 to get Akinde playing. Just a bit of bloody common sense from Daish.

The evidence stares him in the face week in, week out. Game after game.

LD fiddles while we don't score. (not sure that burning is yet appropriate!!)

We don't score enough goals. FACT.

If forwards do not score goals, they have to be left out, as Nade finally was.

Play players who are in form.

Both Akinde and McPhee have almost equalled both Nade and Chukki, whilst playing as fullback/wing back and regular late substitute.

Maybe he's not fit enough to play a full game, but I would have liked to see John in the starting line up. He took his goal nicely and slotted it past the Grays Athletic keeper. Become the next Onome Sodje, scoring goals after coming off the bench.

Congratulations John, let keep the goals flowing.

Up the Fleet.

He should be fit enough. Not only has he been training full time with us, has he not played the odd full game for Whitstable as well. (I KNOW it is a lower standard, but it is match fitness he is improving)

Maybe just maybe Mr Daish knows that he is dealing with a real talent and is easing his way into the side.

He looks real quality when he comes off the bench but its a big step to starting the game. I'm pretty happy with the way he is progressing and I'm sure that he will be starting before too long, but thats all down to the management deciding if he is ready.

I would be only too happy with him starting but I rather think your not looking at the whole picture. Chukki put himself about to great effect today and must have softened up the Grays defenders to enable Akinde to come on with such a great effect.

Patience is a virtue you know

It was about 60 minutes today actually.

From what I can understand, Akinde is happy with the way things are going at the moment and appears to understand that he has to be patient.

I'm not actually disagreeing with your point of view as I would like to see him given his chance, but I'm happy with Mr Daish's judgement of when that will be.

He was on loan at Whistable up till a couple of weeks ago: he's only been on the bench for about 4/5 games now, and so far he's done pretty well, I don't think he's going to get fed up just yet.

I think Liam is trying not to do what he did with Sodje last season. If I recall rightly, he was brilliant off the bench, but when starting he seemed a little overawed and just faded into the game, up to the last couple of games, where he did quite well, which I would put down to the fact he gained experience coming off the bench. Which is exactly what Akinde is doing now.

John's goal was a culmination of a good build up. As it was, it was only one of a few good build ups.

My MOM is without doubt Lance. Saved us from being at least 5-0 down.

Peter and Macca had good games, and even macca gave us a fighting chance with his hand-ball.

Nice to see loads of faces there today. And our voices certainly were louder than theres.

Ahhh good old common sense, where would we be without it ?

I still reckon you should pay your £35 though.....surely it would be more satisfying for you to know that your thoughts & opinions may count for something ? rather than just rabbiting on on this message board ? It's tailor made for you mate !

You know it makes sense !

Cheers,

Certainly sounded that way on the web commentary.

Missed getting to the game myself & all of Christmas Day thanks to the flu. Even forgot to do the Prediction League. Still, a welcome point - even if largely because luck was actually with us for once?

My advice doesn't come cheap, Hirsty. whistle
As defence reorganisation consultant to Daish, I offered my services for free. He accepted my advice and went 442 - immediate improvement.
Any further advice will be business. They will need to pay me much more than £35 for my continued help. laugh
I shall be giving helpful hints, though.

Akinde has looked pretty good as an impact player coming on late in matches and might be worth a start.

The only match I have seen him start was against a pretty poor Ramsgate side in the KSC and to be honest he didn't look very impressive that night.

The guy who really caught my eye that night was the young left winger, Kwasi Appiah?, who came on late in the game. I don't think I will be calling for Liams head for not giving Kwasi a start though as sometimes a fresh player coming on when everyone else is already tired can give a much better impression than he would at the start of the game.
