Boxing day attendance predictions

Have to admit, I don't like the use of the 'C' word, I took my 7 year old grandson to the match, he was a little shocked by it, and said as much to his gran, who definitely doesn't like that kind of language. It isn't necessary and it isn't funny, but it seems bad language has taken over from witty and amusing songs in support of football teams these days. Not a forward step in my opinion, but there you have it.

Although signed in as British Legion Babe (Teresa's log on) it is Frankie here.

We have to give out the admission tickets so know 400 based on that.

In the mid 70's to early 80's the choir then (about the same hard core of 12 teenagers/early twenties) used to sing to support the team and insult the ref and opposition team and supporters. However we did not need to resort to using swearwords and they were just as funny and a good put down at times.

Our current choir are a great bunch of lads...and Danielle who do a good job encouraging the team. My only complaint is the free use of bad language which one day will get them escorted out during a game by a jobsworth steward be it at Margate or more likely an away match

Tense derby, tempers always boil over. It's a fact of football. But there was only one occasion when the crudest of language was used: when Ward charged down the touchline to get involved in the fracas. Now tell me, if Standen was sent off for involving himself which had nothing to do with him (and I felt he SHOULD have been sent off), why was Ward not also sent off?

I was selling programmes down the Ramsgate end and, although slow at first, the fans came in numbers later on. I nearly sold all my programmes which I believe was 250. Don't forget they had about 50 seats they could use too and were around the side. Was pleasantly surprised at the number at the Margate end though.

My son did some interviews with both sets of fans and players Ryan Martin and Andy Hadden which should be in tomorrows local. Very interesting and conflicting views as you would expect!

Dear Oh Dear Mr [****!!****]&r, as Frankie has already stated, he was on the Ramsgate turnstile and let in 400.Also Alan has stated there was at least 50 in the seats, and over 50 at the Margate end.Now i know your not very well educated so i will do the sums

400+50 +50 =500.

So carry on posting your ridiculous links and leave the maths to other people, failing that carry on watching Margate, opps you never do.

50 in the seats, of which those 50 would have come in as part of that 400, Ian. So you do the maths, at least get it right! And 50 up the Margate end. If you say so! Reckon there was a dozen if that. Anyway this is besides the point. Was a good crowd there who went along to see both teams.

Hear Hear Ray. Lets hope at least 10% of them come back for both clubs. (For those whose maths is not so hot thats an extra 65 fans at Margate and an extra 15 at Rams.)
