Ramsgate possibly had about 250-300 down that end with about 50 at our end.Include in that about 150-200 neutrals & that would leave about 900-950 Gate fans.(Thats my own personal estimation anyway as I saw it).

Good to see them all turn out today though, both sets of fans(they might have been restricted by lack of public transport to be fair to them) Now why wont they come at other times?

The performance, though not brilliant by either side certainly wasn't shocking either by any team today so I hope those people turn out more in the second half of the season to see BOTH sides in action when they both have the "bigger players" available & when both clubs dish up better football because both teams are capable & WILL give better displays.

Sorry to have missed you today, John, best wishes to you and Lorraine.

Nearly made a convert out of my nephew, who thoroughly enjoyed the day.

We did not commit the cardinal sin of losing a derby at home, and with our depleted squad, I am happy with the draw, happy this fixture that I never look forward to is over, and happy that we held our own in the game with the youngsters, so well done them.

Not happy with Deano tho, and he is my favourite, we could have won it 11 against 10. They should delegate a minder out of the team to stop him wading in in situations like today.

1200 Margate, 300 Ramsgate. Scrappy game, poor quality. Scott should have claimed the corner for the 1st goal. Costly error. Our tactics of pump it long didn't work. Only when we got the ball down on the floor at times in the second half did we look a threat. I think the manager was spared by Pinns' penalty today.

Hi Porka.I thought BOTH teams "pumped the ball downfield" a little too to often today. Ramsgate(& I am being honest here),I thought, were more guilty of that than we were. But that was proberbly their strategy today.Try & catch our central defenders flat footed by balls over their heads knowing they lack pace to get back. Our boys stood firm today though & I thought Trotty & Smith between them did a magnificent job back there.Well done those two.

To be honest Cookie everyone knows thats how Ramsgate play. They're boring and poor and a decent side would have beaten them comfortably today. However we were well below par ourselves. I think it's a measure of the lack of quality of the league when both teams are well inside the top half, by the way they are playing. I'd be surprised if that sort of game will encourage some of those who returned for the one game today to do so more often. A change at the top is needed IMO.

I don't think the language coming from the choir will help attendances either I brought about 30 people with me today up the Margate end and 8 of them were under 10 the perents were disgusted with the chants of Wards a C-nt. Get it sorted Margate this should not be aloud to happen on the terrances.

Don't go to a highly charged derby game if you don't want to hear bad language. Stupid to complain.

I have to admit the language is one of the reasons that occasionally makes me cringe, but the more 'personal' things seem to be hitting the headlines at the moment nationally, and perhaps our lot think they should join in? Personally, referring to Ramsgate players and staff as 'scum, cxxxx, w..., etc., is a bit like a pot calling a kettle black! Sadly behavioural problems affect a minority, but they're always loud! Perhaps if a few more of us joined in the more respectable 'Margate related' songs, that would encourage less of the other nonsense.

Derby games always gather about 50% more 'partisan' supporters, so I'd accept that figure. Our 900-950 'MFC supporters' won't turn up in January for a home game against Ashford either! It's say we'll be down to the faithful 400 or so.....and hopefully that will be boosted by a good away win at Horsham in between, but check out their demolition of Tonbridge today.

Porka I did'nt complain just let people know what was said by the flooting supporters I tried to get envolved in coming today. as for Margatefan Think what you like but if you condone that sort of language it shows what kind of person you really are and no matter what you think of Ramsgate atleast they ban two so called supporters last season for life for use of bad language on the terrances.
