Margate 11/8 Draw 5/2 Ramsgate 11/8

It couldn't be closer according to the bookies. Who in your opinions are we to be wary of from the Reds team?. Where can this game be won or lost by either team?

I believe Lee Minshull is the key here. Stop him running that midfield & we gain a big advantage.A very good player these days.

Steffan Ball has proberbly one of he best shots of any player in this league.Tall & agile with a very powerful shot on him.We cannnot afford to allow him the room to shoot from anywhere.

Ollie Shulz at the back will take some getting through as we all know & his brother Warren Shulz is on song too.

Danny Dolton will be out to prove a point & he has been doing well over there so he needs to be thought about.

Then there is Wilkerson in goal. A massive man (in build) and a player with vast experience. He will take some beating but he's not invincible.

A team with relentless pressure in them & a team who play for each other at pace. We need to stifle that & bring the game down to our pace.

There's going to be plenty of muscle in this game & our players, especially the young ones need to stand up to this & give as good as they get. However, having said that, keeping their heads at the same time might well prove to be the key (i.m.o) in this game.

Keeping all 11 men on the park might be one of the deciding factors here.

The Rams will work extremely hard to win this (obvious I know)& we need to do the same (again an obvious comment).

Trotty must put his words into action (money where his mouth is) on Wednesday & cut out those awful errors at the back. Less panic back there & more mature defending is what is asked for.

No silly free-kicks in & around the penalty area(something that we tend to give away on a regular basis).

The team that "WANT" this game more will be the victors. We have to show more hunger than they & work for the full 90 minutes or more.

Though we are expecting a well below par side out there representing us its all down to effort, commitment & team work.

It needs to be US that gain the upper hand on those points on Wednesday.

On paper we have it all to do but on the pitch we CAN do this,no matter WHO is down to play.

A very happy Christmas to the players of Margate FC.Enjoy your day on Tuesday but come out with the right attitude on Wednesday please.

Come on the "Gate" & Good luck too!

I agree Mick. Both clubs need to see more people returning to watch them & this is the perfect stage to advertise football at its best in Thanet. Come on both Margate & Ramsgate, give everyone a treat on Wednesday... whatever the result.(Though excuse me for being biased & preferring a home win wink ).

One game dosen't prove too much, its the final league standings that count but on the day let it be a memorable day (for the right reasons) for all in Thanet.

Not able to make the derby this year as working but wishing Margate the best & hope we kick some pikey Ramsgate rear end 2moro, still remeber last year with the Southwood special needs brigade chucking sand at our fans (Sorry Ramsgate but we dont have a sand-pit to play in).

May the Blue colours cheer triumphent on Boxing Day & give us plenty to cheer about for New Years, UP THE GATE!!! boxing
