Just thought I'd draw your attention to a ridiculous but true You might win a beer down the local with this one.

 

Australian sports fact:

In the late 1890's, in Bunbury(Western Australia), the first ball from a Western Australian club bowler was hit by a Victorian club batsman into a tall jarrah tree, where it lodged.

The WA boys called for a 'lost ball'. But the umpire said it was not lost as it could be seen.

Eventually the ball was dislodged with a rifle shot and fell to the ground. Meanwhile, the Victorians had completed 286 runs.

Division C of the Romanian Seria A VIIIa league was won in 1983-84 by Muresul Deva with 38 points from 30 games. But the remaining 15 teams were separated by just three points. No fewer than 9 teams finished with the same points, 29.
