Hastings 0 Ricay 1

A most welcome three points for us and our first away win in the league since August - Hooray

Kerrers was in at left back and we had a loanee from Dagenham (Michael Alaile?) in at centre-half. After a 10 minute getting to know you session at the start I was impressed with the new lad - Nothing seemed to get past him and he looked quite mobile, which is something that we have been lacking in that area. We certainly looked solid today, I can't recall Hastings having a meaningful attempt all game.

The first half was pretty poor, Burbs missed completely from 6 yards but other than that no chances for either side. I thought we were much better than them in the second-half and had a few decent chances to have won by a wider margin. Over the course of the 90 I thought we deserved to win the game with BWG and Dorms again putting in good performances and the back four looked good.

Quite a lot of debate about the substitution of Buckfield. Had anything changed about Jack from the start of the game to half-time - Not in my view. Personally I would have started with Ronnie, but having made the other decision I think we should have stuck to it.

Hopefully this result will give us the confidence to get a home win on Boxing Day which will make our league position look a lot better ahead of next week. Well done lads!!

Ha ha nice pic Dan wink

Thought we deserved to win, Hastings didn't offer much except long shots. Burbs missed a couple of good chances, but BWG is playing really well on the right and scored another. Looked solid at the back which is important, and with a bit more confidence we'll get more runs from midfield which is something we need when playing with one up.

Bradley had a very good game I hear, even scored the goal that won us three points.

One up top 'can' work well if the one up top works hard enough.

Well done Lads, I'm gutted I missed it

In hindsight, I don't think it's fair to mention Bradley's miss. It was a small hiccup in a good performance and the important thing is we got three points.

Hastings were disapointing and there was one "close your eyes" attempt on goal but that was from a miss kick from one of ours, spinning off the foot and callng on Ronnie to be on his toes to drop down and save it!!!

Altho not a classic game, the lads persisted and won through.

Well done
