Slough Town 0-2 Soup at Marlow

Plenty of effort, but we did not really get going and Marlow deserved their win.

Pretty even first-half, but you always felt the first team to score would go on and win this scrappy game.

Think the thing with Daly needs to get sorted once and for all. Personally I thought we could have done with him today as I would have liked to have seen Lee Riddell somehow pushed up into midfield 2nd half.

PS: What was the name of the new centre back?

rhys price tried pretty hard but is too lightweight for centre midfield

the wing backs so hard to try and attack but were then expected far too much to cover for the centre defenders

never really got the ball behind the fullbacks which is usually our best attacking option

what a shame we only troubled Drake like once

least bracknell lost

i assume Newport lost too?

Marlow edged a scrappy first half.

Second half, as on a few occasions this season we started on the back foot with Marlow being by far the better side and only 2 or 3 great saves from Dennison kept the scoreline respectable.

Dennison's main weakness seems to be his dead ball kicking but should be an able replacement for the next 3 weeks while Barneys not available.

Due to his stated stance on players commitment etc I can only assume that Barneys absence was either pre-arranged before he came to us or an un-foreseen emergency has cropped up.

Most of the players had poor games the only exceptions IMO were Dennison and Connor.

Anybody know where Donnell Allan has come from?. Bit surprised (although in hindsight)to see him put straight into the team as we had virtually a full squad to choose from.
