Chelmo updates

I think yesterdays result was actually worse then the 6-1 defeat at Boreham Wood last year. I think we have to and will win on Wednesday.

The more i think about the Chelmsford result-the worse it gets.

Maybe one should just 'move on'-but how many times do we have to 'move on'.

3 quick goals conceded v Maidstone,5 v Chelmsford-why does it keep happening?

We had reasonable quality of players out there yesterday, but get humiliated. Some key players out-but so did Chelmsford.

When you look at the start of the season,we drew with Chelmsford 1-1 and were marginally the better side that day.

What progress have we made in the last 22 games-frankly-none.

Thats the concern for me.

22 games into the season, and we are even more disorganised and a shambles defensively

Should that be the case ?

Can someone give me some encouragement as to why it will be different in the next 20 games, or indeed next season.

Many write on here about being positive-could'nt agree more-but you need to support that by having reasons to be positive-otherwise its just a meaningless unsubstantiated word.

Are we building for next season-great-thats positive-but i anticipate as per last season, we will see another exodus of players and RT will be starting all over again.

You don't expert perfection, not even to be top 5,but is it too much to ask for slow signs of improvement.

We're hanging on currently to a top 5 spot-its a results business so can't knock that-but where is the slightest sign of improvement to think it is sustainable.

Despite supposed 'budget cuts', i guess that the wage bill is still amonst the divisions top 5.We sign wide midfield player after wide midfield player-great-except those positions don't win you games-the axis of centre defence and centre midfield wins you games.Whats more,we then find out that maybe 'amonst our own'-there is yet another decent wide midfield player-Quain-.

What planning goes into ensuring that we have balance in the side, and in any signings made.

Who manages the manager ?

How are Margate going to win more than one game in three, when every game, its a virtual certainty that we will concede at least two goals,so,the players go out every game knowing almost certainly, they have to score three to win.

What sort of mindset and pressure does that put you under from the first minute. It causes desperation, panic and hence we play rubbish.

How will RT change this.

As manager,i expect him to have the ability to do so.I wish him well.

Hmm Cookie. I'm one of these 'half-empty' people I suppose lol, and what I worry about is that you lot will be well pumped up for Boxing Day, out to come back from such a poor defeat at the hands of Chelmsford.

As I said on the Ramsgate forum though, we have definitely got goals in us. Both teams ship goals left, right and centre and we don't seem to 'do' away at the moment - although this almost isn't an away game for geographical reasons if nothing else.

I stick by my earlier prediction. I reckon it could well be 4-4.

Yes you're right there Andy. But its not so much the game being poor as it is the home team letting everyone down. Still,we managed a decent effort last season at HP. I thought they did more than enough then when the scoreline was 1-0. Will big Rob do what Danny did last season?
Admittedly the squad is different now to then, moreso because of the amount of injuries we have this time round. Its going to be hard to repeat last seasons result I must admit but its still attainable. Yep 1-0 will do for me!

Get the (newer) player(s) off the booze and we may have a chance!!! Honestly that winds me up more than anything. They should be fully prepared for EVERY game, not in local pubs slagging off Trotty and co and downing silly amounts of drink the night BEFORE a major game. Still it's christmas, maybe the drinking will calm down!!
