At one stage stu it sounded like their keeper was having a blinder. I thought it was going to be one of those nights. What time did you get bak home this morning?

didn't know the score till this morning as i had my work party last night.

Well done to the fans that went and well done to the players. Revenge is sweet after the poor FA Cup match.

People saying that its a cup we shouldnt be borthered with but we should. There is alot of money involved if you win it, come on you reds.

Bring on Grays applause2

Agree 100 % , any win is a good one. Great to follow the game in a chat room with other fans. it was set up by some MYFC fans, but if anybody wants to have a look in at for an away game if you cant make it, I am sure you will be made very welcome.

God that was exciting. First half was dull but the second very exciting.

Myself and JC desperately wanted penalties as neither of us had seen the 'Fleet in a penalty shoot out before.

After the game we saw the players buying their fish and chips. This was interrupted by seeing Lee Elam speed off rather fast in his Merc as he looked rather unhappy.

Sorry we didn't sit with you Ian_D, this was for two reasons. 1 We like to stand up especially in the cold weather and two because of that bloody drum, sorry can't stand the thing and I think you sound better with just you.

From what I know there was actually 13 of us, three MyFC members, two of whom I met and were very nice.

We got back to the ground at the same time as the coach, the fog was awful. Got home at four. I feel ill and now I have to go and do my Christmas shopping. Whoever’s decision it was to play it last night should be shot.

Nearly all the players came over after the penalty was scored. Liam Coleman came over and gave me a celebratory hug, after I ran down the steps of the stand. Ian nearly made it! grin

Last night was one of the best matches I've been to since supporting the Fleet for the past five to six years. We left at two in the afternoon and has a very smooth journey down there. The first half wasn't the best of halves - only seeing the pikey Exeter kid getting chucked out after 5 minutes was the best part.

Second half we definately showed more spirit and determination. Liam Daish made two substitions, both of which were the right ones. Chukki Eribenne didn't have the best of games, so was replaced by Luke Moore, who took his goal well. He seems to have a habit of scoring against the Grecians. With the presence of Luke Moore and John Akinde, combined with Chris McPhee and Liam Coleman, we seemed to attack more and more, with more on-the-floor football being played.

During extra time, some of the players on both sides looked knackered, Lance Cronin was vomiting and some football from both sides was getting sloppier. John Akinde certainly gave us our best goal with a fantastic header. Two goals in two matches for him. And despite Exeter equilising, we kept going and got our 120th minute penalty, which he really took well.

Some of us fans say this is a mickey-mouse cup, not important etc etc etc. It doesn't matter on how higher profile a game is, whether its a game against Ramsgate in the Kent Cup or a match against Aldershot Town in the Blue Square Premier. Every game is just as important as each other. Any win against any side, in any competition gives the team a boost in confidence, and we will no doubt be going over to Grays on Boxing Day, full of confidence.

It was good seeing John Akinde make another appearence and it was good to see Liam Coleman finally got a full 90, or 120! I hope to see them in the starting line up at the Grays game.

Up the Fleet!!

No problem, each to their own as far as I'm concerned - was just simply pointing out there were a couple more of us there than was stated on the radio smile

It's easy to forget now after all the drama that followed, but the first half was pretty poor, and we were well below our best - indeed, our first clear shot on target didn't come until around the 70th minute. A marked improvement in the second half, much like against Carshalton - perhaps a 'rocket' from Liam was delivered on both occasions.

Once it got going, a highly enjoyable match.
