It may be percieved as headline-chasing, but how innovative would we seem if we took the initiative here and developed some kind of local Futsal league? The soccer schools face competition from Arsenal, Charlton, Gillingham and many other London clubs, but there seems little competition for Futsal- a niche in the market? There is a greater focus and appreciation for the qualities associated with Futsal- more and more young players admire a shimmy or a stepover more than a crunching tackle or well-structured formation. If we teach existing coaches the rules and the aim of the game, use of Fleet Leisure for a Futsal training school/league could prove a hit.
