An anorak on the another Forum has posted the following so I've asked if he can enlarge on the game, I think his comment about not knowing who won is intended as tongue in cheek. Watch this space:

I know what you mean re colours listed in programmes.

Last night's SSML fixture between Stony Stratford and Royston saw the colours listed as blue/navy (H) and white (A).

Unfortunately, one team lined up in yellow and the other in red.

I haven't a clue who won!

Very friendly club though - well worth a visit.

It's common knowledge that 90% of posters on another's Forum are anoraks, I think that's possibly why this Forum is preferred as we don't take ourselves too seriously, well other than Football Man, Lato, Spidermanor and to a lesser degree Horace that is.

I wonder how many members predicted that Royston would win at Stony Stratford last night, not many I bet. I'll be interested to read a match report.

I did biggrin1 biggrin1

To paraphrase someone it was the obvious result really.

So in other words what you're saying is that if I didn't post this Forum would be like Coles Park or Tottenham Cemetery, would you prefer that

I'm going to have to have a word with Wader and NeutralFan as members shouldn't be allowed to keep manipulating posts like that

The anorak on another's Forum has come up trumps:

Of course it was, but it did take a couple of minutes for those of us who are not Ostler's Lane regulars to be certain of which was whom.
The Reds (Royston) were 3-0 up at half-time but the Yellows (Stony) pulled one back early in the 2nd half. It was set up for a thriller, especially after Royston missed a penalty midway through the half. It wasn't a particularly bad-tempered game but there were a number of badly judged tackles and consequent yellow cards. A few minutes before the end the red 11, an impressive young player, was hacked down as he burst through - it was a second yellow for that particular Yellow. But the 10 Stony men almost immediately got a second, their penalty-taker being much more competent than the Reds'.
Excellent evening out - £3 admission, 50p for the programme.

19th December result

Biggleswade Town 1 - 0 Potton (Beds Charity Cup)

A depleted Waders worked wonders to book their place in the semi-final at Cranfield after coming through tonight's match unscathed and with a clean sheet. A single goal from Jack Weeden (playing as a lone striker!) sealed the tie (for current holders of the cup) Waders early in the second half in a swirling mist. New signing Steffan Dancy (Mildenhall) had an influential and pleasing debut in deep midfield.

Wader - Did Uncle Urchin turn up last night or is he waiting for the final again like last season, obviously you'll be in it with just an easy looking semi final against Cranfield standing in your way
