You seem to have lapsed into West Country talk here ?

"She be going for years" ? I'm sure she can be treated for her condition in this day and age !!

Cheers,

PS... will you be at the Jan 1st game against Grays ?

I'd imagine if the kit this season is a Jako design, there'd be some issues if another kit company came along and manufactured it instead. So it would surely have to be a brand new kit.

Jako may be one of the bidders ,if there bid ,Given Andy Woon's position with the club i expect they will make a bid.

I would hope the members of MYFC will vote dependent on whats the best deal for the club not because nike or addidas are a big name.

But if Jako were in the running, I don't see any point whatsoever in mulling over a new kit. I can understand the financial motivations of a big player like Nike if they're chucking cash at the deal, but, really, what is the point of another Jako kit when we've only just had one?

It doesn´t feel good at all voting yes to a new kit for Ebbsfleet.

It is one of the many things thats feels appaling regarding todays football, the constant changing of kits just for a quick buck.Basically I do not approave!

It has to be a substancial gain to make for Ebbsfleet United before I vote yes to this.

Its the way football is sadly, business comes first even at the lower levels.
Is the jako deal running out? ,are the possible big companies bidding offering the club a decent long term deal or just seeing what they can get out of the initial press the club will have.

I can see their thinking a little on this Busta. If a new higher profile kit manufacturer wants to get involved then that would be more money. Potentially, and I say that loosely, 25,000 members buying new shirts is a hell of a lot of money to the club. In the long term I reckon the merchandise sales will be put under the control of Myfc anyway

But surely those members are gonna buy a shirt whether it's the existing one or a new one?

Aye you have a point there. But I feel that if the new members feel they have contributed in deciding new manufacturer/design then they will probably be more inclined to purchase.

Although the yellow kit's of this year and a few years back were quite smart, I always prefered us playing in a white and black away kit. Yellow is such a common away kit colour (as is blue, which we've had a few times recently, and, as we had two years back, 'old gold') but very few teams have a white and black away kit. Also, such an away kit reminds me of the Portway golden years.

Very good bernard. Reminds me of Man U and Liverpool in the 70's. white shirts and black shorts, very smart

Fair enough the logic behind that is good, but I would suggest at this point in the season, there are more important things to spend money on, we have the closed season for shirts etc.I just don't think at this point in time its a priority is all.

I know I'll get pilloried for my ignorance, but why is it that football away strips aren't simply the inverse color scheme of the home strip? That's the way it works over here in the US, and it serves well to have a consistent, easily recognizable color scheme for the club -- branding, for lack of a better term. For example, Harry's Miami Dolphins play in turquoise shirts and white pants at home and white shirts and turquoise pants away, and both sets have orange trim (occasionally, they will play with orange shirts instead, but you get the idea). That way the Miami club is always associated with those colors in the minds of the fans.

It's very odd to me to have completely different color schemes for home and away, so if there is some long tradition or reason for doing that, I am very curious about it.

If you look at the inner circle on the club's logo you can see where the red and the yellow kit colours come from - I think this is consistent with your 'branding' example. (I quite like the idea of a black kit, but theres enough clubs doing that this season already, IE Liverpool and Man U)
