Wader - I will copy an extract from last weeks bulletin entitled, wait for it, 'Gissa Job', perhaps you've already seen it:

Gordon Boateng, who led Brimsdown Rovers to promotion to the Premier Division last season, has now left his post as Assistant Manager at Ryman League Premier Division Club Harlow Town. The former Brimsdown Rovers boss said "I got on well with everyone at Harlow but the bottom line is that at this particular stage in my career I missed the hands on managerial involvement. I am taking stock of opportunities offered to me and am pondering a challenging position already on the table but will consider all options at this moment in time".

Surely Gordon knew what he was letting himself in for at Harlow so his excuse about 'missing the hands on managerial involvement' doesn't really hold any water.

Here we go again, Club's will also be aware and apprehensive knowing that Gordon is liable to down tools at the drop of a hat and walk away, that appears to be what happened at Harlow

What did Gordon ever do to deserve your vitriol? He may well be at our game with Hoddesdon tonight if his girlfriend is still their physio. I will ask him what he thinks about your attacks.

Horace - No doubt my ears will be on fire tonight then but like I've said before I have nothing whatsoever against Gordon, I actually rate him but not above Step 5 level until he has properly cut his teeth and knows how to handle and talk to players as individuals at their own level. This season would have been a perfect opportunity for him to do that and excel with Brimsdown Rovers but he chose not to and has now come unstuck

Has Clement Temile ever coached above step 6 or 'properly cut his teeth'?

Well, he managed the Bishop's Stortford (Conference South) Capital League team to a championship. That team consisted of young talent breaking into the first team as well as first team squad players.

He cut some some teeth there surely you'd agree?

Yes I do agree but it was still only Reserve level at the end of the day, it seems that Gordon has a problem when he's not in full control of any given situation, he had all that and more at Brimsdown but threw it away instead of being patient

Wader - I knew you would make a bee line for this thread as soon as you came on, you really do an admirable job of defending 'your friend'. Do we know if he was at Hertford Town v Hoddesdon tonight as Horace felt he might be, which game did you attend

Gordon wasn't there but his girlfriend was. She told me not to part with my tenner just yet!

That's very interesting!

It's blatantly obvious that Gordon Boateng will not be making a dramatic return to Goldsdown Rown before 25 December so I suggest the the six individuals who struck the inspired bet with me back in July get their tenners ready.

If you hadn't noticed the 25 December is next Tuesday, less than a week away!
