Welcome aboard WOTG

Steve Tilson might disagree with the caretaker comment WOTG, and Tooting with the 2 coaches one.

There is no rush, we have a lot of injuries at the moment and the majority of our squad is contracted.

Our main priority at the moment is points, Grant and Jason are not shying away from the reality of our situation, and are prepared to make brave decisions. When things settle down we will take stock, but right now we all need to pull together and support the team.

I think you would be pushed to find another successful partnership.Curbishley & Gritt possibly.

Are you saying that they agree on everything ,selection substitutions, possible signings, tactics , when and how to make a brave descision?

I agree that support and points are paramount, but with the exception of Kerrigan the injury list is no worse than 6 weeks ago .

Ummm 6 weeks ago we played Kings Lynn... Then Swansea... McMahon, McSweeney, Kerrigan, Blewitt, Hodges and Flackie all played in that game (although Hodgey was clearly struggling)

So far as joint managers go, having spoken to both Jason and Grant for "From the dugout" pieces, they seem to have very clearly defined roles, Grant is happy to let Jason have a free hand in his areas and vice versa. I agree that joint managers don't work, but in the short term I don't see it being a problem.

To be fair one loss in five games can't be bad,

For me it seemed like one of those VERY BAD days at the office.

If a positive could be found from the Urchins game it was (imo) that any other team would have got at least 6 or 7 past us on that performance so the defence should get some credit for the score line only reading 2 - Zip.

Clough was the manager , Taylor was his assistant.

I do not believe that you can have clearly defined roles, too many things overlap, signings into tactics, tactics into substitutions. training into selection.

I think it is a one man job but I would be happy to be proved wrong.

But what I want to know is when will players start getting the sack for their half-arsed performances on the pitch?

Start? Managers, Players, Coaches, Accountants, Astronauts Bankers, cleaners, etc etc, it makes no difference, if an employer is unhappy with his employee's work performance in relation to what they are contracted to do, then that person is moved on at the appropriate time.
