The 5 -a-side pitches

Did anyone attending yesterday get a glimpse of how busy they looked.

 

Its alright building them, but you need to fill them with paying customers.

 

I'm sure they will work out fine and most projects like this get off to a slow start as expectations are too high.

 

Was wondering how busy they looked generally yesterday afternoon.

 

With the lower attendances (not a surprise imo )any income supplement will be needed.

 

Re:attendances-whilst last season you could sense they would fall off badly post christmas;i have a feeling that this season we have already 'bottomed out',and whilst not increasinging dramatically,unlike last season; i think attendances may start to rise slightly in the new year.

I know it's stating the obvious, but if we can stay in the play off places and perhaps even get closer to the leaders, then I think attendances will increase. I'm always amazed when I look back at how slowly attendances grew in our Southern League Championship year. But then come the Newport game, everyone was suddenly interested in us!

Not sure they were open ,saw a few contractors working in that area tho the gap in the fencing, i think they were asked to move their vehicles so as to park the ambulance behind the stands.

I would have thought, given the fact that most football teams play a normal (11 a side) game on Saturday, that the 5 a side pitches would not be busy on that day anyway. Probably the same could be said for Sundays.

 

Just my thought but I would assume that the busiest times will be Mondays to Fridays during the winter, both daytime perhaps for schools, youth organisations and evenings for training, 5 a side league or whatever. In the summer who knows.

Me and a few other lads used the pitches Friday night and when we arrived there was 1 pitch in use, which i was surprised to see as it was very cold Friday night, this won't properly take off till spring i reckon but i know i would be using those pitches again all through the year as they are very good.
