In all seriousness this was by far the result of the day for me. Lee Scott and Jonathan Donoghue were both injured and our goalkeeper and Captain Tom 'Beckenbaur' McMullen suspended, Sun Postal Sports fought tooth and nail and at 1-1 with 12 minutes left could have won but we miraculously pulled the game out of the fire. TringArmy, who had a blinder, will no doubt confirm when he comes on later.

Minor divisions apart, result of the day was clearly Ruislip Manor's 1-0 win over Hertford!!

Good to see Horace and ETFC again and meet up with Septimus and Eagle. I have to say respect for the way you guys took what was in truth a shock defeat. As discussed I think it was fair to say you battered us especially in the second half but we defended well and rode our luck at times. Then as so often happens we scored with our only serious attack of the second half (5th minute of stoppage time too!).

I also must say well done to The 61FC for advancing to the 4th round of the challenge trophy.

You can always rely on Leverstock Green to have their match reports up early:

I see Hertford have their report up too. Can't really argue with it but can we really be blamed for timwasting when we haven't kept a clean sheet all season. Even a 0-0 was cause for celebration given the opposition especially as they put 13 past a better Manor side over two games last year.

If this came from Eagles1981 I would understand but I can't believe Horace would write such a thing

I was merely making the observation that the Manor winner came in time being played because the referee was punishing THEM for timewasting!

Thanks but I'm amazed to hear that, was he a substitute then

Really, I assume he made most of them then from central midfield, didn't one player score four. Congratulations anyway, I'll ring Graham on Monday.

Many thanks, we always have a good chat and understand each other, he has an old school approach to the beautiful game which is so refreshing

Although on the wrong end of a 2-1 defeat in the Bedford derby it was 2 young sides playing football on the grass the way it should be this must give them a shout as result of Div 1.
We travel to Cheshunt next saturday (another talented young side), i pressume facilities/pitch are some of the best in the league with there 1st teams elevated status? do i pressume right??

Oh forgot to ask Wader what happened at Kingsbury, mad 3 mins according to local press, got a break with Hertford losing (every cloud and all that) smile
