Royalists And Lane Part Company

Coops was stand-in manager. And had the brilliant yet strangely familiar notion of calling out instructions and tactical advice to the team from the sidelines. Wonder if this'll catch on?

Adding some of the gossip from the game and afterwards (no inside hints, sadly):

The sacking came in late morning.

It's suspected there's another candidate who's already accepted.

Top candidates discussed are Dave Mudge, who's obviously got a great record at this level, been at a lot of recent Windsor games and even been chatting with fans: and Keith Scott, who's got a fair record already with Leighton (given what he apparently has to work with) and probably has more connections with the club. Dennis Greene would be a dark horse, or maybe a 'mare.

And we should know the successor on Tuesday (home to Gosport).

BTW we (fans) still don't know what's up with the fines, suspension, etc.

Oh, yes, from the collective wisdom behind the goal...

Simon Lane's not magic

He has no magic hat

He used to have a football team

And now he's got the sack.

Sorry.

well i didnt expect that when i got to the ground today. bit strange to do it hours before a game! there's been a lot of chat about who will take the reigns, the same two keep cropping up, Dave Mudge and Keith 'The Colonel' Scott.
