Horace - bad news, I'm afraid. Derby U18s were thrashed 4-1 at Southend United in the FA Youth Cup tonight and were never really at the races. I kept thinking "they're going to start playing in a minute" but it never happened. I think Paul Jewell's problems run deeper than first team level at Pride Park.

Football Man - Did you drive to Southend this evening, if so why as you could easily have caught a train from Victoria Station into Liverpool Street after the game, which was presumably a 7.00 kick off, and still had well over an hours drinking time with us at Hamilton Hall. You really missed a treat!

I doubt it and they haven't as they say that Kentish Town FC is not in the game. Trust you to think of that though.

Besides SI games have a licence from Fifa, Uefa et al and can use any names they like!

Tubbsy8 - I'm not so sure about that as we were never asked permission, the matter is in the hands of the Club's Solicitors and they're investigating

the latter part of this post sums you up rhodes as either a complete prat or a brilliantly manipualtive wind up merchant.

 

So you are in all seriousness going to get the KTFC club solicitor to waste his time (and presumably the clubs money) to investigate a PC game to see if they have used the name Kentish Town FC when it has been established that

 

a) the name is not used anyway (according to the SI forum you pointlessly lifted this piece from)

 

SI games will have a licensing agreement with the FA allowing them to use the names of the FA member and associate member clubs.

 

This is either a wind up of the greatest magnitude which I commend you for or you are not the full ticket.

Like I said earlier we have placed the matter in the hands of the Club's Solicitor's in order to investigate the possibility of Kentish Town Football Club's name being used without prior permission. If their investigations prove fruitless then fair enough however in this day and age people are far too willing to take everything that is thrown at them lying down and we are not prepared to be made fools of for somebody else's financial gain.
