Money well spent then. This really is a circular argument. What is to be prioritised is the client's choice and good design (which is different from "over-design and fashionable thinking") is in my opinion is a very worthwhile and laudable aspiration. Having said that, without seeing the Bills of Quantities for the construction I would not have thought that the construction cost was excessive. The pay back period for solar panels depends entirely on what type they are, what they are used for and so on.

Perhaps the solution is to vote in the Green Party for Enfield Council. In the unlikely event that they did anything at all beyond passing resolutions they might build us a stadium. The roof will of course be thatched, the clubhouse will be built of wattle and daub and the pitch rail will be woven hazel branches. The perimeter fence will be a native species hedgerow. The Jets hangar (built of papier mache from recycled 50-50 tickets) will sell only herbal tea, fair trade chocolate bars and organic cereal bars. Innovative wind-up floodlights will save fossil fuels and reduce emmissions and the kit will be re-used garments from a charity shop in the Town. The car park will be redundant and turned into a vegetable plot as everyone will come by bus or bike.

Absolutely! Naturally the referee will replaced by an elected committee with all minority groups represented, and all decisions will be voted upon after hearing the point of view of both teams. Whatever the decision the game will be restarted with a drop ball to avoid stigmatizing any individual or again damaging their self-esteem.

Concerned that any competitive play will discourage children from co-operating, so suggest that children be excluded from games until appropriate counselling has taken place.

(love this bit...my brother's a school counsellor)

Bit worried about the Green's having any input on new stadium, in that, despite the excellent changes listed above, players having to dribble round remnant vegetation may complicate(or possibly enhance?)the game to some extent.

Where(and who is?)does Jose O'Ware fit into this?

Nice to know you check your facts before your usual mindless rants as although at the start of the game I was taking photo's at Dartford, I soon lost interest and stopped and I NEVER put any on the net, So I couldn't have made any comment under any of my photo's. The clue is the user name on here and the photo site!

Better luck next time whistle

My apologies. It must have been Sir Chuckle who posted the comments under the photo.

The last few posts certainly prove one thing. There is definately an element amonst us that will quite happily turn on their fellow fan at the drop of a hat,if anything is mentioned that does not completely fit into their own political stance. frown (and i'm talking about half a dozen people here).

And perversely, it is those who are the least likely to criticise rival teams and supporters, who are the ones most likely to turn on their own fans. duel

Pray expand, Mr Stuff (or may I call you Lovely?). It seems to me that you were the one to bring political stances into the thread. I, joined by our inverted chum, have poked a bit of fun at over-zealous green and loony left policies, in an attempt to lighten the tone as I rather thought from your posts that you might agree.

Hi Invis.I light heartedly mentioned New Labours liking or rules and regulations whilst discussing dartfords new ground. You said you didn't feel they were that responsable for complicating procedure.I then quipped that it would be the first time ever if they had not done so.

For my trouble a fellow supporter jumped in out of knowhere and accused me of having a permanent chip on my shoulder and of mindless rants.

I know from experience last season, that if i say anything political (and its not often i do),then certain supporters will become aggressive and dismissive towards all my ETFC posts for many months after.Which i find a tad dissapointing.
