Where did he get that from ?? For a start, the final result was 3-2 to Gravesend, not Morecambe.

 

And whilst they had their chances so did we.

 

A draw would probably have been about right - they certainly werent "much better" than us.

Didnt Andy say we had a top 6 squad when all fit earlier in the season ??? I think that was a little optimistic but i do think that we're not far away...

 

Summer priorities : Right back, center back, 1 or 2 strikers depending if Che goes. Im assuming we resign the midfielders here and none leave...

 

From the current squad players i think will go:

Jamie Turner

Aaron Barnett

Craig Wilkins

Luke Gedling

Ben White

Nick Burton maybe.

Liam Hatch

Anyone got any other thoughts who might stay or go??

I think that if we have learned anything from our first season in the Conference it is that we need cover for every position.

 

Wilko has been brilliant in goal and has been one of the very few to avoid injury/illness but if Turner goes and Wilko gets injured we would be in trouble.

 

Craig Wilkins and Nick Burton have both been vital to us this season and though I could see their point of view if they want to guarantee themselves a start every week if We want a squad that can have five or six players missing and still win then We must have first team quality players on the bench and in the reserves.

How likely are we to hold on to quality players like Wilkerson and Bentley? Mark in particular must have caught the eye of a few bigger clubs - I'd hate to see him playing against us next season.

Unless hopefully we can convince these two and one other! Tostao, to stay somehow for the prospect of being in a great team of the future. It would be heart breaking to lose any one of those, but all three! Couldn’t handle thinking about that!
