Brentford

Surprised nobody's mention Daish in connection with the Brentford post after Terry Butcher's sacking, considering he was linked with it before.

Would certainly be a statement of his intent about MyFC depending if he stayed or did pursue any interest Brentford might show...

Have been reading some of the posts on Mysheep.com about this. Can't work out if some of the comments are serious or not. I shouldn't go onto that site when I'm tired and irritable and read that [****!!****].

Brentford are in debt, as are 95% of all clubs...

the only thing we have going for us, is the fact we own our ground and our loans are not in immediate need of repayment.

Brentford have spent less than £50,000 on players in 4 years...

I am not sure Daish would be interested, or approached this time around..he is under contract and next season, Bees could be playing in Ebbsfleet's league anyway

when Terry Butcher was appointed, he went for the job, got offered no.2, but I dont think this went down well !

Liam will make the grade, but I still think he has work to do at Ebbsfleet...with recent events, he is on a no lose situation there at the mo

Exactly what I think.

Leaving Ebbsfleet is the worst thing Daish could do at the moment. If he was to stay and it all went tits up then he could blame the members, if it was a success then he'll be a hero. If he leaves he'll be seen as being two faced and turning his back on the club, although I could see why he would be interested in going. Not going to Brentford though, that could be suicide.

If Liam leaves now he would be a bit foolish.

When (if) the MyFC deal goes through, there will be funds available for transfers. This should ensure he stays for a few months. However, the instant he is forced to comply with the wishes of 25,000 keyboard warriors regards who he signs and plays, if they dont match his own plans, he will be off. Not only that, but every other manager will know why he has left - so who will want the role?

If you can get 25,000 to vote you in - the jobs yours!

Not to let the facts get in the way of your argument or anything, but I think you're projecting your beliefs onto Liam. Every public utterance he has made about MyFC, including "pick the team," has been positive. Now maybe you can chalk that up to not wanting to anger the new owners, but when I've spoken to him personally (admittedly for short periods and only a couple of times), he has also been supportive of the concept. You can probably write that off too, seeing as I'm a moonie and all, but just thought it'd be useful to point that out.
