i could write a page of my recent 'player sightings', on sunday i spotted ex urchin steve jones drinking in 'the towngate' in basildon, he may have been attracted by their 'pint of fosters for £1.50' offer.i had a couple of fosters then went onto john smiths [£1.75 per pint} and i finished the night drinking 'spitfire' bitter in the 'moon on the square'. jonesy was watching the west ham match and when he went to the bog i quickly looked through his carrier bag which contained the following items,st johns wort tablets,toothbrushes and shaving foam, all items which were bought from poundland.i tried to engage jonesy in conversation a few times but he didnt seem interested.

Well if nothing else he has got the beer prices right although I rarely drink in the Towngate. In fact don't bother drinking in Basildon at all now.

May I suggest something really useful, such as a piece entitled 'Birds of the Bridge' - at the last count there have been over 40 different birds on or over the Bridge.

 

It could be divided up between birds already had at the Bridge and birds one would like to have over the Bridge.

 

UM can start it off and I can fill in the bits he misses.
