Setanta Shield fixture change

Good to see yet more evidence of the "we'll be alright, stuff the idiots who pay to get in and get there" mentality.

No doubt in the programme the following home game there will be snide comments about how few made the journey and how the team needs the support.

Mindless.

Anyway I've since gotten over it and I'm starting to think it could be quite a good thing.

Oh don't get me wrong, it will be freezing cold, there will be ten of us and we will be awful, we always are in the cups, but this will be one of those games where those of us who are there will be intent on just making each other laugh.

Who knows what the content will be, it could be after someone shouting "come on Moore" we'll start listing people with Moore as their surname. The best one being Jimmy's offering away at Aldershot "Barrymore". Or maybe we'll list programme errors seeing how Exeter is the home to one of the best with Criag Holloway, no doubt Tamworth Rovers will be called upon.

So then, who's going? I suppose MyFC can reply as well.

I've got to get an England map...Exeter, South Devon...?

I'll be there in spirit(s)!

Wife's work Xmas party that night...so you know I am sincere in saying that I really would rather be on the _______swept (insert rain, wind, sleet, snow, well, all of the above)terraces of South Devon than over here feigning interest in what promises to be a terrible evening.

Holy cow!

Just Googled it (free period at school...Geography teacher...got to do more UK place geography!)and you are spot on.

How long would it take to get there along the A---, then the A--, then the A---?

Full respect for the true believers that attend!

Never know..might run into some South-Western MyFC 'ers!

I was toying with the idea of going if it had been on the Saturday. This whole MyFC has really thrown me behind the club (in the right way I think).

However, there is no chance of this happening as I would have to get out of work on the Friday before xmas.

The good site is it gives me a free Saturday before xmas to get the presents bought.

So lets get this right, the club agree to a ridiculous fixture change, with no explanation, which will vastly reduce the number of supporters that normally travel to away games, hence making the fixture a home supporters only game because most 'Fleet' fans can't get to the South West on a Friday night. Good move Ebbsfleet. And you can guarantee that the club will be asking for people to distribute posters for forthcoming fixtures etc to raise the profile of the club, which most of us are doing, come on board, it works both ways, don't just change fixtures that can have no benefit at all to your supporters or to the club. NO SUPPORTERS, NO CLUB!

I told you... I'll settle for an iTunes voucher or something. You don't have to go to the shops.

What about a nice little Myfc membership as a present. Yeah right. You can [****!!****] right off. discussion

But they would double their membership and the club would get twice as much money, why is that foolish?

I can't say I am in love with the whole MyFC idea but if it is going to happen then the more members they get the better.
