I guess it has got more to do with creating an extra days rest for the players before the Boxing Day game.

 

No consolation I am sure but admission will probably be cheaper even than for the Trophy game this Saturday, be nice if they were to let you lot in for nowt.

 

The money is not relevant, the Boxing Day game crowd will be in excess of 7k, and the club views this competition as a waste of time.

When we tried a couple of Friday night fixtures they where well attended, I am surprised they haven't been repeated.

The Canvey and Accy ones were the season before last, but Aldershot last season was lower than it would have been on a Saturday.

 

Nice to see the Club taking the fans' interests into account.

Not sure it's been decided yet. The previous iteration of this wonderful competition (the GLS Cup) held fire on the venue until the two finalists were known as I recall to maximise the crowd for the glittering final (think it was about 1,200 in the end!). So I imagine the same will happen again.
