Like the northern canoest lloyd Opara has returned to civilization after going missing

Ryman Division One North club Waltham Forest have made a major signing in former Colchester and Cambridge United player Lloyd Opara.

 

Opara also played in the non-League arena for Stebvenage Borough and Hornchurch and signed for Swindon Town from Cheshunt.

 

He left Swindon in the closed season and was expected to sign for Peterborough, but has remained a free agent since then.

 

The signing signals the intent of new managers Louis Affor and Mike Small to bring some experienced players into the squad in the attempt to take the side up the table.

 

Sadly, the introduction of Opara could not stop the Stags falling to a 3-0 defeat against top side AFC Sudbury, with two goals in the first half and the final one in injury-time.
