His opinions are often beyond reconciliation with fact whenever he ventures out of his own realm. And very often within his own realm as well. As such I bear no guilt in bringing him to book over it.

 

Just because it is Rhodes opinion does not mean it should not be questioned or indeed debased or made deserved mockery of when others know through fact or experience that it is wrong - and almost exclusively because Rhodes is so blindly insistent on his own opinions validity to the exclusion of reason or fact.

 

If you disagree with me then you are surely as bad as I am in your own calculation of how this should work!

i am not saying leave rhodes alone, wader. I am saying pick out the flaws in his views where they exist, just try to avoid the trap of calling all of step 6, and all who sail in her, sunday park football just because thats the palatial level at which rhodes currently plies his trade.

The challenging evening for my split personality is getting worse. I am flitting between Nuts TV and Newsnight and now I am getting misinterpreted grief from you.

 

I have not slated step 6 football or anyone involved in it. (Sighs) I stated that Rhodes knows nothing of any value above that level and that non-league football is lucky that he is only involved actively at that level and no higher.

 

If Rhodes insists on making disparaging comments about GB, without knowing anything about him, I will insist on bringing Rhodes to book over it.

 

Is that clear enough and does it fall within your rules?

not really wader, you think rhodes is something of an ignoramus , and that somehow its ok at step 6 but not above? or that he is operating at a level within his sphere of knowledge but is not allowed a comment outside of it , to protect the great and good at step 5 and above?

I'm saying that football is lucky that Rhodes is at a level where he has no influence over the sport. I am also saying that he is (in my opinion) an ignoramus who could never achieve above the level he is at, and barely gets away with step 6 involvement.

 

Contentious? I hope it is as contentious as the drivel he spouts about Gordon Boateng that you accept as his valid opinion. I have stated my equally valid opinion as above and would hope therefore that you accept it in the same vein.

Wader - I am not looking to 'achieve' as you put it in a football administration capacity, I can take it or leave it as we are all offering our services voluntarily and can walk away from our respective Club's at any time we want with our heads held high, Football Man did just that back in May. Despite your harsh comments it's funny that Wingate and Finchley approach me every season to come into bed with them so I must be doing something right.

I think your view on Gordon is purely based on your friendship and I don't blame you for defending him to the hilt as I would probably do the same.

wader both you and Rhodes are entitled to your opinions and are welcome to express them and question the others.

 

People will read them and take note, some readers will give more weight to ones posts over anothers, but I hope that is because of who the author is rather than the arbitrary and artificial "level" at which they are involved.

 

I dont think the tealady at Spurs would look down on the tea lady at Dorking fc

 

I believe I can see who the better players are in the premiership and at the step 5/6 level as Ive seen a fair bit over the years.

 

I believe I can see which clubs are doing the best under the circumstances and which are underachieving.

 

 

 

I don't believe any club at either level would take a blind bit of notice of what I had to say!

....and the reply from Rhodes has settled the discussion.

 

Rhodes comments about GB were based on highly dubious knowledge, so were my posts slagging off Rhodes. The boot was on the other foot for a day to demonstrate how easy it is to sit in front of a computer screen and assasinate someones character without a care or a factual basis for doing so.

 

If you disagree with my method for making the point, so be it.
