think the step up in class was too much for hatton. if you listen to billy graham after the fight he said 'i told evryone he was a junior welter not a welter' which says to me that there may have been some pressure from other parties to go up a weight for this one and as arrogant as he is floyd mayweather was too strong too accurate and surprisingly worked better than i thought he would on the inside which was hattons only chance but he couldnt do what he usually does, like i said a massive step up in class that even surprised the hatton camp a little, but joe cortez was absolute disgrace as a ref usually he is one of the best in the game

Floyd is up there with the best ever, the referee didn't help though... missing the elbow and then docking Richard a point in the following round.

Cortez was bad in the early rounds, and how he missed that elbow is beyond me, but i think his call on docking that point was spot on, he tried to hit him in the back of the head, I do feel sorry for "Hatton" the inconsistency of Cortez must have frustrated him, but still you dont try and hit some one in the back of the head.

 

As for Hatton's future he would be making a big mistake if he got in the ring with "De La Hoya" for any other reason then a big pay packet, as i could see that fight going the same way as the Mayweather fight.

 

Would like to see "Hatton" Vs "Witter" that would be a great fight, Always rated "Witter" his only loss was against "Zab Judah" before he went crazy.

Catering really was the wrong career choice, i should have been a Boxing promoter .

Well i hope that they can sort something would be a classic, it wouldnt have the glitz & glamour of a De La Hoya Bout, and no where near the same sized purse, but would be a excellent Fight, and a lot harder to call then Hattons last fight.
