Surely this was the result of the day, lowly Winslow United going to 'the mighty' Hoddesdon Town and earning a hard fought point

Definitely Langford 6 Tring 0 - Tring beat the full Cheshunt side 3-0 on Tuesday, and have had two 7 goal wins themselves lately.

Why is the time of any interest to you? What you should be interested in is how does Kentish Town lose against Cranfield. Where was Lee Scott today?

NeutralFan, what is happening to Hoddesdon? I can't believe what has happened to them recently after being in such a strong position! I still believe they are title contenders but there must be something going on with the team? ... Apart from you not playing. of course!

Forget about our result today, we just had a bad day at the office that's all. What's more interesting is that you don't give a simple answer to a simple question.

Work it out. It was some time before I put it up on the forum!

Yes I see you posted it was off at 12.12pm so the simple answer would have been 'around Noon', why didn't you just say that in the first place, at least you prevented Stony Stratford from travelling unlike poor Oxhey Jets.

Not possible, I'm afraid. Presumably, players cannot score hat tricks when their team only scores twice in total. Therefore, Lee Scott did not score the hat trick that you felt was a certainty as a minimum and you can consider yourself very fortunate that you are so gutless you were unable to follow through on yet another charity pledge by failing to determine exactley how much money you were going to pretend to give this time!

I'm still waiting for the attendance figure from your first home reserve match this season! The "simple" question has been asked of you many times now and yet you have still failed to provide a simple answer.

That was one of José's main concerns as a responsible member of the opposing team.

As the home side and therefore, hosts of the fixture, unlike other people that don't take the responsibility seriously even if it is to just open a door on time, his first thoughts were that Stony would not have to set on their way and then turn back!

That is how it should be done. Rhodesy, you should take note of this!

Eagles1981 - Why are you addressing your comments to me, it's Horace you should be telling to take note as Oxhey Jets had a wasted journey to Hertford Town yesterday. Jose does strike me as the sort of individual who is very professional in his approach although like I said if you didn't know him and met him on the Harrow Road you would automatically assume he was a school teacher or university lecturer as opposed to a football manager.

Rhodes, you are a malevolent, evil sod! You cannot resist stirring up trouble at any opportunity.

Just to repeat what I posted yesterday - it was a qualified referee who decided at 11.30am that the game was on. I personally was of the opinion that, by 3.00pm, the pitch would be waterlogged, but he was not willing to put the game off at that point. Was I supposed to twist his arm up his back to change his decision? He phoned the match referee, who was content with what he told him. On arrival at the ground at 1.30pm, the match referee came to a different conclusion.

Paula's personal life has got nothing whatsoever to do with you - or any of us.

When exactly should a game be called off Cec? It has to be the ref's decision and that means anytime from a local ref pitch inspection in the morning, up to 1.30pm(ish)? Outside club control as well you know. Spare a thought for the Bishop's Stortford fans who travelled all the way to Dorchester before learning of the postponement there - and not a word of complaint. Oxhey travelling to Hertford is hardly the end of the world is it. That's football I'm afraid - at any level.

no change from rhodes's behaviour on this board in the last 18 months really. Getting very tired and predictible, I think you need a new approach clippy.

Wader - Common sense where pitch inspections are concerned should surely prevail like in the case of the Hertford Town v Oxhey Jets fiasco yesterday. Surely anybody could see at 11.30 that it would be very unlikely the hallowed Hertingfordbury Park turf would be playable at 3.00 with the forecast for more torential downpours, therefore the local Referee called in should have called a halt to the proceedings then and there and saved Oxhey Jets travelling, I think Horace should ask for his fiver to be returned.

you really are a complete numbnutz aren't you rhodes. The referee called in for the morning pitch inspection has the final and only say in the matter regarding calling a game off. Horace given his expert knowledge of the pitch would have made his opinion known and a sensible official should take that into account but if he (or she) decides its playable at 3pm then the home club have to respect that judgement.
