Why was everyone singing song's about canvey island today. Well i am here to say GIVE IT A REST!!

There was the morecombe fan's doing their very best to wind us up, and all we could come back with was song's about jeff king and yellow shirts. The morecombe fan's didnt know what the hell we were on about.

If the plan was to confuse them then it worked a treat!!

I agree Gazza why the hell do we still sing that stupid song?Canvey are past history they are not even going to make the conference this year, so just stop singing about that team.

Get yer self up there and start a song then....mind you, I tried to sing a song to the Morcambe fans but no one joined in despite me singing a whole verse !!!

 

....and there was some strange song.....Olivia Newton John ??...very tough....sounded like Take Me Home Country Roads ??

All you have to do is to remove the word Canvey from all songs and substitute Margate, same number of syllables so it won't be difficult.

Where a longer name is required substitute Stevenage and the opposition fans will probably join with you.

If all else fails sing about the white bucket!

My girlfirend was singing Bring me Sunshine throughout the game and was amazed that it wasn't coming from the massed ranks.
