Player released

According to the Gazette today, Robin Trott has released Mark Watson. Robin is quoted as saying there is no real reason for letting him go - it's just that he hasn't featured lately and we need the money.

The Gazette also say that he is also talking to a centre half and should know more in a week. Rumours that Pat Sappleton might return to Margate won't be happening - not for the time being anyway. He has a bad injury and hasn't played at all this season.

I agree Alan. This is what a lot of people on the terraces have been saying needs doing. No disrespect to Mark but Trotty has made a right decision on this one I feel & for the right reason too. It makes sense!

I think that there are 2 reasons why we are not getting a new centre half:

1) All that are available are no better than Louis Smith. Yes I can say that as I sponsor him and am extremly proud to.

2) Tottenham are in the market for 2 centre halfs and are using up all our options.

No there are plenty available. I do think your constant snipping at Louis is getting beyond a joke. It is about time the so called supporters of MFC stopped picking on a player every season. For the last 2 seasons it was Dean Standen and this season it seems that it is Louis. Well in my opinon Louis has never let the club down has constantly played out of position for the benefit of the team (as Dean has done over the last few seasons).

Is it a wonder that players want to leave the club and cross over the Island when they get no support for thier efforts.

No do not start this "It was tounge-in-cheek" thing. You have never had a good word to say about him. I may be biased as I am his sponsor but that also does not come into it as does you blatant "I have an Opinon" so I must be right. Well for your information Mr Cook I think your opinons are rubbish and that is why most of the time I cannot be bothered to waste effort or time to read them.

Of course I air my opinions & they will always be right in my eyes as are yours & everyone elses in yours & their eyes. Why give an opinion otherwise.I just think that your attempt at a bit of fun was a bit exaggerated thats all.

What IS your problem! You always seem to want to start a row with someone...unless its to your liking of course! Grow up for goodness sake!

If me replying to your comments contributed to that then I apologise but I couldn't resist at the time.

(other post deleted,on second thoughts,to avoid that very thing)

For your info : 2/12/07 : Cookie said: Louis Smith played well yesterday also, alongside Trotty & I was pleased with his form yesterday too.

Rt must have done the right thing for player and club by releasing him.I wish MW all the best.

The only thing i question is why was he signed in the initial instance then ?

Any news in paper as to if Young is fit for tomorrow.

I also assume that Peters is still with us

Even if Haworth or Pinns get injured/ill/ suspended, whilst awaiting Side to recover; i don't think it matters too much as we can then play 4-5-1 which could well bring great results as one striker is not necessarily less attacking, as your 5 man midfield should gain more possession and create more chances, so RT again done right to release Watson imo.

Who is released next ?
