How would i feel if MYFC pulled out?

Projectus Interruptus!!

Concept without conception.

Would have to scrap my 2011 Stonebridge Road visit...my itinerary in disarray.

Wouldn't get to meet you Forum posters!

What if it is a total success?

Sorry..didn't mean it...went all optimistic of a sudden.

What is it with you blokes?

Is it the weather?

I just returned from a week on the Gold Coast....Beaches, bikini clad(and not all that clad either!)stunners and chilled Aussie beer...I'm optimistic...you guys might just need a change of scene.

Should it be a success will we see the demise of ex-pat(deportee?) AFF#1, the MyFC project's most vehement critic, as an Ebsfleet supporter?

Can't see any other honourable alternative!

How come as soon as the Fleet take over it is a loss maker?

I don't know the current position but in the first year Fleet Leisure lost about £250K

One thing that occurred to me that noboody has commented on as yet. Until 3 years ago, we were a small, well managed, financially (relatively) secure, part time club, run by a board whose byword was prudence. Joke if you like, but since then, we have gone full time, which seems to have cost a packet, with only evidence of some improvement in league position, acquired Fleet Leisure, which now seems to be a cash cow sucking money out of the club at an alarming rate.
Add to this the plans for a new ground. Are the club paying for the plans for a new ground?
How an earth can we afford that given our debt. If stories are to be believed the debt is £400,000+. plus club losses around £100,000 per year AND losses at Fleet leisure of about £250,000 per year.

If these figures are only partly right, they still make horrible reading.
My question is, what has happened to the frugal, careful board who wouldn't spend what they couldn't afford?
The warning signs have been there for a while, poor gates are not new this year - we haven't truly increased them in the last 4 years, whilst our expenditure has increased by x amount.

Is Fleet Leisure an independant company or a subsiduary of EUFC Ltd ? If its independant do they own or rent the training ground and is it included in the deal ?

I know you weren't :-)

This is an example of local knowledge that us newbies have no idea about, and the reason that the regular fans are so important in this whole thing.

http://www.fleetleisure.co.uk/

Front page of website reads:

Fleet Leisure is a subsidary of Ebbsfleet United Football Club. The Club is managed in partnership with Gravesham Council.

Does this mean Gravesham Council are also responsible for any debt Fleet Leisure incurs, along with the Football Club? Or is any debt solely the responsibility of the football Club?

On another note, is it possible for any debt the Football Club itself may have, to be "assigned" to Fleet Leisure, so the Football club itself is never at risk? I guess you would call such a practice "creative accountancy"?

The due diligence report is certainly going to be interesting.

No!

Fleet Leisure is a 99% subsidiary of Ebbsfleet United Football Club Ltd, and as the parent company EUFC Ltd is ulitimately responsible for it's debts.

not strictly true david...each limited entity is actually only responsible for its own debts.....EFCL is only the shareholder of FL....there could of course be cross guarantees and suchlike but I very much doubt it and in any event FL could be liquidated and then the debts are removed anyway..

FL is however very important in the grand scheme of things... grin

Mick, you're doing my head in. I would find this a lot easier to take if you just SHUT UP!

With regards to Fleet Leisure... the point was made when the club took over that money will never be taken out of the Club to pay for FL but if FL was ever in a position to be making a profit then that mony would go into the club.

And Unc... what the f**k is "EFCL"?
