How Would You Feel If Myfootballclub Pulled Out?

As a myfc member i dont care. I have no link or roots in Ebbsfleet (if such a place even exists outside the minds of rail planners)

The deal hasn't gone through yet.

If it was me I'd choose a team a little more on the brink than Ebbsfleet.

Whats important for Myfc members to remember though in relation to this and other threads. Football forums only represent a very small minority of the fans of a club, and by their nature tend to attract those with polorised views.

If myfc want to know peoples views they should go to the ground and ask people, not rely on internet forums.

If you think that the debt is £350K, then I think that the 2007 accounts are going to give you a very nasty shock.

Come to the ground and ask me then, I am usually there ! The man from The Independent found me at Oxford, so reps of the 24,000 should be able to find me at San Stonebridge !.....

...and do you know what the funny thing is here ? I speak the same thoughts as I write ! How strange !!...but don't take my word for it....fingers on buzzers !

Cheers,

If true, this is financial suicide. As I understand it the Club have no real assets i.e. no ground to sell and Fleet Leisure hardly appears to be a money magnet. What exactly were the Board thinking of by accumalating such debt? Its completely insane!

I notice you commented "Absolutely delighted" in response to the question of the thread. I'm not having a go at you here at all but purely out of interest given your financial background, I'd like to ask a serious question.

What in your opinion are the options open to the Club, assuming the MYFC deal collapses, the Directors walk away and the Club is left with a debt of shall we say half a million pounds plus to service?

My gut instinct tells me the Club goes into "administration" followed by possible bankruptcy. In view of this would you not agree MYFC is the only option available to the Club?

If Fleet Leisure isn't a money magnate, something is seriously wrong!

When It was Bowaters/Scotts/Beauwaters, there was a waiting list for membership, and Cabarets that you had to be lucky to get tickets to! If you dropped off that ticket list, you had to wait a long time to get back on it!

How come as soon as the Fleet take over it is a loss maker?

I don't know the current position but in the first year Fleet Leisure lost about £250K

Why not make it more interesting?

How would people feel if the deal fell through and MyFC gave £750,000 pounds a year to Dartford instead?

Unless we timed our relegation to match their promotion we would have to play them in the league in the next couple of seasons, we would be getting crowds of 4-500 they would be getting 1500-2000. I don't think I would like that very much.

One club will get their money, I hope it is us.

Don't worry about Dartford, their board have already stated that although they wished Webs, sorry Ebbsfleet well with the scheme they would not wish to upset any supporters by doing such a thing. By the way I hope you are right about them getting promoted and getting 1500-2000 gates, that would be very good for a Sunday league side.

High moral ground?

"They would not wish to upset any supporters by doing such a thing" because they won't get the chance, they're obviously wouldn't say that they would jump at the chance, even though they clearly would.

I hate Fern Cotton, she is so common and a Chav. If she asked me for sex then I wouldn't, except I would.

Thanks for that, Ebbsfleet have never played Dartford. Gravesend & Northfleet don't exist anymore and thats what probably hurts the most. Most Dartford fans don't hate the fleet, I for one have missed the local derbys. We could hate Maidstone, but I suppose it would be good for Kent football if they finally get their new ground. I think being fulltime and playing in the conference these days is more or less like being in the football league, I mean what level do you feel content with. The Gills Kents Premier team lol. are now talking about selling their ground to reduce debt, I think I have heard this before some where. There is always money to be made, I wonder who is making it out of myfootball.com.

Don't be silly the Council would not let them, thank heavens.
