I do have memories and know what it's like to be playing at this level from when we used to play in the original Ryman, (or ICIS as it was know then) second division.

 

The fact is even with Jeff King's money we got promoted into the first division and then got relegated straight back down again. At present that will be the same situation again if we were promoted into the Ryman Premier.

 

We don't currently have the money to fund a Ryman Premier quality squad and the way our attendances are falling at the minute, it's looking one step forward, two steps back for the Club. It's gonna take a few more seasons yet before we have everything in place to warrant a place in the Ryman Premier so at present we have to live with what we've got, like it or not.

I do not agree with that at all! We would hold our own in the Ryman Prem, a very pessimistic view of our team in my opinion Matt.

Can I just put the record straight, anything I said on here is in no way aimed at CI club or fans... only Townies and people who chomp....

I think we'd survive in the Ryman Premier. We are as good as the likes of Maidstone etc.

I agree with Glen/Yellow. I think we'd be okay. Lower mid-table, maybe, but I doubt we'd be relegated.

It sounds like your defeat yesterday was a bit like ours at Dartford, every chance the oppo created went in. On another day you may have only lost by 2 or 3 goals. Well done on getting to the 1st Round Proper anyway, it is an achievement in itself!!

Once the first goal went in the floodgates opened. They had that bit of extra knowhow and skill to exploit our defensive weaknesses.

 

Dartford seem to be scoring goals for fun at the moment!!

How about your all knobs (Townies) in cloud cuckoo land. Is that constructive enough?

We had two games against Dartford in the FA Trophy and we kept two clean sheets against them, so I think that says a lot about the difference between the ryman prem and ryman north!

And you did lose to Northwood as well in the Trophy.
