Chins 1 East Thurrock 1

Yet another "average" side comes and gets a point off us!! Good second half performance, just lacking that second goal we deserved. One saving grace is we are still 3 points clear in 2nd. And what has happened to the Stones??? Haven't heard anything of our good friend A. Hole???? Tricky one next Saturday though, I'd be more than happy with a point there! Was their goal a "goal"? I was round in front of the Urchins bar, so couldn't see it that well, had it crossed the line?

Up the Chins!

You may be three points clear but we've the goal difference and a game in hand. Admittedly today's result is putting myself and other Rebels under the false assumption that we can still get promoted. Our next four matches are away from home so watch us fall away from here! But for today at least we're back, so watch out Unc!

now don't start getting above yourself bfr.....we all know that you'll drop a few over the next four and our away form is the best in the entire rymans league...so....we'll see....good result for you guys today....well done...

as for us...

we were very poor in the first and only marginally better in the second....strange game...no atmosphere and probably a fair result if I'm honest...boring is the word that comes to mind...anyway....

on to the donkeys next week....must win it is....we'll see.....we'll see....couldn't write the script culdya.....ha ha ha ha...

by the way....be very remiss of me not to mention the camels.....chuckle chuckle....snigger snigger....ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

nice of you to be thinking about us old chap...you're always welcome as we enjoy having the odd camel or two to bash up when we're bored...

as for us yesterday....pretty poor really...both teams...they had 10 behind the ball and were delighted with the point...can't blame 'em really...we have to be more inventive....anyway...still second and with a few away games coming up I reckon we'll stay there...hemel next week is a biggie and I do fancy it....that could seal it for us.....

the rebels will struggle in deepest essex with four away games on the trot...ha ha ha ha...they dunt like it ova here....cant think why...he he...

uxbridge...no chance camel...no chance...its us.... the fatboys and the donkeys for second spot....and no...I don't think we'll catch the stumps now....well done to them....

serious question....

what on earth has happened up there in camel land....?

good question as well, from one of

the strongest teams in the DIV 1 to the worst,

2 points from23, something must have changed surely,

almost beyond belief,,

Yet again you underestimated us, and for a team supposedly on their way up you need to improve on what i've seen of you this season... To be fair we rode our luck at times , but i'm sure you will be glad to see the back of us.... I think we defended well (which is something we couldn't do till xmas) and didn't give you much room to play in... It was without a shadow of a doubt over the line (honest) and we were dissapointed to come away wiv a draw coz a double over you guys would have been a pretty good achievement... I hope you lot go up anyway coz your miles ahead of us in terms of potential... You have a good fan base, and we were all made to feel welcome (not sure bout the band though!!!, might be going to far at this stage), so thanks for the four points this season and if you don't go up we will look forward to making it six next season... Good Luck

I do not quite understand why you keep saying that we understimated you...we didn't nor do we ever take anything for granted...why should we underestimate you...you're recent form has been very good...

that aside...the match was poor and so were both teams...two funny goals...yours iffy....jonah fouled your defender when he scored the own goal...all in all probably the right result but not a game to dwell on....

as for promotion and are we good enough.....well...we are second and the teams that have dropped away will tell you that the division is poor.....I reckon its probably the hardest division to get out off and so we'll see....we won't be far away thats for sure...pleased that you enjoyed your visit to the ol' stadium...much changed as you probably noticed......

good luck for the rest of the season...hope we dont see you next year..!!!!......and if we do get up we'll see about a friendly....well done....you're welcome anytime....

apologies for my brief absence, my poxy internet has been down at work. Oh well ho hum. Unc, it was a moment of blind optimism when I posted on here on saturday, high on seeing slough hit so many goals in such a short space of time, a real high after the poxy nature of the Hemel result and the wingate catastophe.

Yeah we've got away games now, which will dictate if we are to challenge for promotion. An interesting thought...... if no team is relegated from the conference into the Ryman Premier, and lets be honest Stevenage are trying everything they possibly can to stay up, does that mean a fifth team from either north or south will be promoted? Third could be good enough. WHo knows

we were doing ok upto the marlow game about 6 weeks ago,we had a few injuries in key places especially defence where at one stage we had all our regular back four out,the marlow game away was just so poor no passion at all and since then barking away and hemel last sat was the same, slowly the players have come back and the bit of luck we were getting at the start of the season is going against us

now, like letting in 94th minute equalisers.

new players that have been got to help are not as good as we had thought and have hindered.

anyway you can all stop laughing now, serious question answered.

all the best for the rest of the season to one and all, bollox to this im being to nice

hope we win a game soon and you all lose

ah thats better

lol

cheers

bit like women really....you never know what you've got till they're gone....'aving said that....a very wise man once told me...if she walks out the door...never...ever...make the mistake of asking 'er to come back....didn't listen did I....ha ha ha...great stuff....whatever happens its been a good campaign and we've all 'ad a larf at each others expense......

and you're right as usual camel....no point in bein' nice......so f*** orf an' stop pesterin' us.....ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.......

you've got every right to be optimistic 'cos you'll battle it out with us to the end...thats my view and if we lose on saturday it'll be like swallowing paper towels....he he he...not a nice thought but we'll see....we'll see....anyway....

all good stuff but there won't be any change to the ryman rules...that i can tell you.....two up from each div...end of story....

have to say we're getting attached to you guys....if one of us goes up we could amalgamate and take the other with us......

slough and hornchurch rovers,....

hornchurch and slough united.....

rebels and urchins forever....

nah....dunt think so....

fcku orf and stay in div 1....ha ha ha ha.....

keep the faith big fellow....all good stuff.... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Sounds like a match made in heaven, though I'm pretty sure the Rebels aren't a religious bunch, otherwise we'd want some answers about why we keep being crapped upon from on high! Mr, Thorne, Mr Deaner, Mr Browne, not exactly angel material!

I'll be watching the results from Uxbridge and Barton tonight with some interest. A result for Berkhamstead is favourable and I may even be persuaded to go along and watch it, given its just down the road. Then again, I saw our reserves beat the boys Westley left behind at Farnborough last night, and the prospect of a second night of ugly football isn't really what a young lad such as myself should be persuing for social activities. Mind you, if you've ever seen the Slough talent you'd probably agree with me!

Right then, Aveley humiliated at Southend, what a pity eh?

I might go down to uxbridge tonight, havn't decided yet, making all those teas for the Farnboriugh lot last night took it out of me,and on my birthday as well,oh well thats football ,berkhamstead are top of the form league so hopefuly uxbridge are in for a stuffing just like the urchinettes were last night by ol Uncle, looks like the old Ambassadors off on his travels again then... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
