Oh and there was a health report on Roy Butler who is recovering slowly but will be on dialysis for the rest of his life.

Some should take a leaf out of Roy's book who quietly got on with his job as he saw it and did not come on here moaning that he was not being kept informed about matters for which information is not required. Our board are doing their job and I send them my good wishes.

The club will be open on Thursday evenings after training so that members can speak to players, board and management.

A new facility will be developed in the area of the board room to provide an entertainment area for match days, sponsers and youngsters.

Middlesex university have signed a pitch deal.

The council are writing to the people who have stolen our land to the Carterhatch side.

School tickets are being given out.

We have a partnership agreement with spurs that when performing community events they will publicise us and vice versa.

Obviously none of the above is official but is my recollection of what went on.

There really was nothing else officially said about anything.

There was a report from Jim about the team. He answered questions truthfully and what he said made a lot of sense. I dont think that I have the ability to question his judgement after last night as he seems to see the same things as me. I am not so judgemental about some of the things we both see but am more judgemental about others.

It is only when promotion is no longer possible will we know who is right.

TIM said that promotion was obviously no longer a possibility and all I am saying is that is nonsense - things dont change after one defeat albeit a massive defeat.

Steph, thanks on behalf of all those who could not attend, for giving a brief rundown of events.

If i could just get clarification on a few things you mentioned
(and these are general questions rather than being directed specifically at yourself.)

1.Whats this about middlesex university signing a pitch deal?I hope this is for The Downs or the spare pitches and NOT the main pitch (which is already overused). Also,as 50% leaseholders i presume we will now have more say about how often the pitch is played on?

2.Regarding stolen land on the caterhatch side? where is this land? Is it illegally extended gardens over the back?

3.Why the deal with Spurs about joined promotion. Is there a ulteria motive to this agreement?

4.Will the details of the lease be put on the official website. It would be nice to get clarification on the deal.for example who has the final say if we and Brimsdown disagree about any matter. I'm sure i heard somthing about an independent arbitrator would have the final say.

1) Ask the board

2) Yes

3) Probably - It is their football in the community scheme

4) I dont think that is the right attitude. There has been little problem with Brimsdown at the moment so why anticipate problems. I doubt if the details will be put on site. we have all had a synopsis. As the lease is with the council you can get a copy under Freedom of Information act. Mind you it is likely to cost you. Employment of an Arbiter is the last thing that should happen as it would demonstrate an inability to work together and a breakdown in relations.

Steph I did my time on the Board now I'm just a fan!

If you had a road to Damascus experience last night and I’m pleased for you.

Joint owning 50% of the ground does give us more money making facilities true. The negative aspect is that it will also mean that there will be greater obligations as more is expected financially both in terms of rates, boundaries etc. How was the new venture performing against budgets? On target I hope.

Yes - I had heard that Middlesex University had a pitch deal. I had also heard that they had done some damage too when things may have got a bit out of hand. How are the Board going to Police this to ensure that any income doesn’t get broken in the form of smashed glasses and wrecked facilitites?

School tickets have been given out for years. What is being done to encourage take up which to date has been poor.

I’ve never been sure about the Spurs deal over the years but know the Board sees it differently.

The Board backed Jim - fair enough. If Jim and the team does well I am delighted to join the throng of praise but if it is poor I reserve the right to not be a yes man and hold a different opinion. It is good to be free of the Board straight-jacket!

I did not get promoted. I applied for a job and was sucessful.

Details of the excellent offer by Enfield Leisure Centres Limited can be found in the club shop. If people need more information then just ask me. If you want to take up the offer of a corpoarte membership, then let me know and I will take your details. It is certainly an offer not to be missed. It equates to £1.00 per day for use of all the facilities and classes at Edmonton Leisure Centre, Southbury Leisure Centre, Albany Pool, Southgate Leisure Centre(where I am based) and Arnos Pool.

The best thing to come out of the meeting was that Jim apologised for the awful display last Saturday and for the way the team has performed, or not as the case may be.

Maybe this year we can sneak into the playoffs and hit form at the right time, as opposed to losing out to a resurgent side that sneaked in to the playoffs in 5th or 4th spot with 15 less points.

There is a long way to go. In this league, if we could go on a run of winning 5 or 6 games at some point in the season, this goes a long way to getting a playoff berth, in a league where anyone could beat anyone on their day.

I'm keeping the faith that this run could start on Saturday (fingers crossed). This next month could make or break our season, with all the games leading up to the Edgware game in mid-Jan being ones we should win on paper, all against sides in the bottom half of the table!!

Thank for your summary Steph. Personally I would not say that that was "nothing", it is all very interesting - as is sugested by the other responses and questions. For example how else would I have known that that shared lease has been signed? What implications does that have for our other aspirations? You have also hinted at something else, not for the public domain (but one canhazard a guess).

Yes it is mathematically possible for us to win the league, or of course finish in the play offs. It may well happen.
