More than one - and it should not be ruled out. The entire ethos of MyFC is to get away from 'money deciding everything'.

Thanks for that mate. Next?

Do you believe it is appropriate that a multi-national corporation pays a pittance of a wage to workers (often children)in the developing world to manufacture sports goods that they then charge sports fans an arm and a leg to buy in the developed world?

I still have a problem with wearing a football shirt with free advertising on it. I believe it is reasonable to explore other possibilities if there is a company, that pays its workers a reasonable wage and doesn't fleece its customers, that is willing to make a proposal.

What 'good' is a new kit for the club?

FFS every single football fan in the country is sick to death of clubs changing their kits too often, so what do this brave new world of fans propose? To change the fecking kit - well, its been 6 months since the last one, so why not?

No problem is all you shell out is your £35, what about those who have bought the current kit, and stump up £15 every other week to turn up? They are being shown 2 fingers, they dont count. And don't be coming back with 'consulatation' bollox, thats why MyFC insisted on 51%, to ensure they get their own way in situations

I agree 100% with you - and this has been discussed at length on the MyFC forum. MyFC members do not support the constant re-design of the team kit. Any proposal that would be considered would be based not on how often the manufacturer wanted to change the kit but on how often the fans were willing to allow the kit to be changed.

The reason MyFC needs 51% is not to allow for 'consultation' but to allow for decisions to be made by the membership. You can play a role in making these decisions by joining MyFC. You can choose to be active in the ST and play a role in that way. If you choose neither then you are actually in no worse off a position than you are now, not having any influence on any decisions made regarding the club.

Dom, you are really showing yourself up to know very little about football, esp at this level - the reason the kit gets changed is normally change of sponsor - not the choice of the manufacturer. Even thinking about changing the Fleet kit YET AGAIN is a bad move, until either (a) The current deal expires, or (B) the sponsorship deal ends.

And dont ask the 'fans' (the MyFC sheeple), ask the 'supporters' (that would be the people who 'support' Fleet) who turn up week after week if they want another kit this summer

How can you mention Nike and fair trade in same sentence?

Quite easily. Read the post properly.

You still haven't got it yet Patman?........They don't give a sh!t about the regular supporters...........They are in the minority, and have to go along with the Myclub Owners!............Or leave!

His Lordship would have you believe otherwise, but just read the crap he posts.......All trying to butter you up, but no substance!

Pat I was talking in general terms. I am well aware of how kits operate in NL football. What you have to remember is that the market for EUFC jerseys is about to go from 1,000 to 25,000. This is more akin to the scale of a Championship club than a Conference club and this is what is attracting the kit manufacturers (and all the others wanting to do sponsorship deals)

I agree again - and I would be surprised if it was any different in this situation. If it was there would have to be some very compelling reason for me to support it.

As I outlined above there are a number of ways of you influencing the decision. When was the last time the board offered you an opportunity to influence when the kit was going to be changed? The existing EUFC fans who have become active on the MyFC forum since joining are having a significant influence on issues - their views carry a lot more weight with existing (and new) MyFC members because they have far greater knowledge of the club and are aware of attitudes on the ground and the impact of what is happening.

So the fans were asked if they wanted a change of kit ?

Santa - you really are getting ahead of yourself here. There has been no decision to do anything. All that has happened is that a kit manufacturer has called up MyFC and asked 'what's the story' and has been told to come back with a proposal. When the deal to purchase EUFC by MyFC is done and dusted the proposal will be published (we may even have more than one at that stage) everyone will have an opportunity to discuss it and a decision will be made. I have indicated to 'PatMan' two ways of influencing this decision. You and everyone else on here can make you views known - and even if you choose not to get involved with MyFC or ST (if you are not already) I, or some other member of MyFC, would be happy to communicate your views to the MyFC forum. As I asked earlier - when have you ever been consulted about the kit change in the past? When this current proposal is published you will have an opportunity to have an influence on the decision. It's up to you whether to choose to take it.

To me this whole idea stinks. It's the same thing we've been hearing for weeks. There's all of this talk of putting football in the hands of the fans, but nobody seems to care a jot about what the real supporters of the club want.

Do a survey on your forum and ask who wants to buy their third Fleet shirt in 5 seasons. Or their forth, or their fifth even? Let them decide if they feel the need for yet another top, and anyone who hasn't bought several shouldn't even be consulted.

At this point, I don't see any difference between us being taken over by some foreign billionaire or a consortium of faceless people who have never and will mostly never even attend a game.
