Yes the Darts are still more or less playing Sunday League football, it's called Ryman Division 1 north. Thats 3 levels down from the conference in case you don't know. The only thing is that they have a new super duper stadium and on some occasions been getting bigger crowds then your new found team.

Perhaps that is what you should offer your new fans, free admission, doubt if you will get bigger crowds though. Not unless you get a new ground.

I certainly did not post in order to gloat but if you wish to put that interpretation on it then so be it.

I also stand by my comment of a 'worthless' post as in my opinion it was worthless to try and ridicule what I believe is a worthwhile & generous gesture. Being a regular and local supporter does not exempt you from making a worthless post.....

As for trying to endear myself to to local supporters you are way off the mark. If I have an opinion I wish to post on an open forum then I will do so regardless whether or not it may endear me to certain persons.

Finally there are plenty of threads that could be started in a better way but people have different levels of skills, tact and diplomacy......

ps are you a school teacher by any chance as I feel I did not do too well
gagged

People are feeling unsettled at the moment. Most people don't like change and we're going through a big change at the moment. I accept your intentions were good but I wasn't the only one to read your post the way I did, it's just my opinion.

I've supported the Fleet for over 15 years and we need any help we can get, but the MFC idea is a unique one that not everyone is happy about.

By all means post anything you like on here, it is indeed an open forum but I would have thought the new MFC members would want honest opinions from the local supporters.

Now you've replied I'm happy to accept your intentions were good but the way some other people are getting out of their prams because people have an opinion just adds to the whole brainwashing conspiracy theory.

Marks out of ten for your post - 6 grin

Ah maybe my specs are ok after all

yay

Pictures Harry?

I can think of a few other things as well as that!

Ok, so Its obvious that she's looking for her access card to this "Great" (sic) Country of ours and after a while she would probably bugger off after you have filled your boots .........

And the down side?

Here's a wee thought. Some locals think that MyFC members should attend the games at Stonebridge Road in greater numbers.......however there must be a point that the locals would really feel totally taken over,is it 400, 500 600, 700?

What if there turned out to be more MyFC than local? (Hypothetical I Know) but there must be a number where by the locals would feel alienated.

Just a bedtime thought after perhaps a glass or two of Vin too many............

Depends really - do you turn up to support MyFC, or EUFC?

Of all the things that have gone through my head since the news this is my biggest fear. My football club being stolen from me again for the second time in five years.

Sorry, but how can your football club be stolen from you if more fans turn up? This surely is what the aim is, to get more fans thru the gates - for the long term good of the club?

But at what cost?

It was always what I wanted for Chelsea to win the league, but with it happening the way it did it felt like someone had left the cork out of the Champagne bottle for too long and it affected the taste.

Things will change but by how much will it affect the club and my enjoyment?

I always said that if we ever made the Premiership then I would stop going, the Premiership isn't football. I thought about Middlesbrough today, I have my reasons, and just thought to myself what is the point of that football club? What do their fans want for the season? Do they see the club ever winning the League?

I think most football fans hope for the best and expect the worst. Yes gone are the days when the likes of Ipswich, Derby or Burnley could win the league - now it is one of four and the rest are picking up the crumbs. Roll on the day when SKY collapses and these clubs are back in the pack with everyone else.
