training balls & posts

I see from the MyFC website a few of the boys & girls are having a whip round to provide 20 match balls for training purposes & 2 sets of quality mobile goalposts because of the state of the goal mouths at the training pitch. This is a voluntary donation because money cannot be given from MyFC funds until its a done deal.

A fine gesture in my opinion........whats yours?

Thanks for the details Friejose, hadn't realised the sum had been reched so quickly.

Goes to show that attending the games is not the only way to increase club finances........for those some distance away and outwith the UK.

opinoins please Ebbsfleet regulars......

Well I'll swallow my pride and say it's a decent gesture, especially considering it was a voluntary donation outside the usual MyFC revenue channels.

Of course, Unc will be along in a minute to accuse you of being Moonies and throwing cash around to make yourselves appear nice and cuddly... grin

The Moonie business model is actually quite effective and efficient. As soon as I got the radio transmission through my cheese helmet from MyFC HQ, I instinctively donated money.

And you are posting this here just to gloat!

(UU and AFF would be so proud!)

It brought such a lump to my throat................I nearly remembered the combination to my wallet, and threw my 1p in!

These are obviously the people that come in the first part of my signature...Well done the few!

Patman,

Not gloating at all........if you read my first post I asked for opinions.....and guess what, yours is a worthless. I was just trying to gauge the regulars reaction but maybe this is not the place........

However, there is also talk on the MyFC boards of maybe doing something community based to enhance the club in the local area........ your local knowledge could be very good in coming up with something worthwhile so if you have any serious suggestions I will be pleased to pass them on.
