Hillingdon vs Slough - Live Updates

Ok I wasn't there tonight but I'm really disapointed to have lost heavily yet again especially after that fantastic win/performance on Saturday. I know we had 4 or 5 players out tonight but I just hope that win wasn't a one game wonder. Our away from is truly awful, that's 10 player 10 defeats! It must be the worst on record surely? Lets' hope we get some players back for this Saturday at home to Winchester and get back on track.

Driving to the game tonight I was hoping that we could maybe grab a point and then take all-three at home on Saturday, but when I saw we were missing a few players I was not so confident.

However, in the first-half although they probably bossed it in terms of posession it was fairly even and we probably had the best chances with a Gumbs header and a Chima effort that hit the bar.

Second-half they started well and as soon as they got the first the floodgates opened somewhat. However, not all downbeat. There was good effort again tonight and a 100% improvement against the same opposition we played last Tuesday.

Just hope we can get some of the missing players back and start picking a consistent team each week.

Massive match Saturday - AGAIN...

I know we've said this before but it was harsh on us. First half we were comfortable and creating the odd half chance without anything particularly clear cut. Hit the bar with a vicious shot from Chima and to go in at half time goalless was about right. Second half they hit us with two goals and it was an uphill stuggle. Shame about the injuries because I think we would have got a result with the team we put out Saturday. Rendall and Barrett and both Nsubugas were all injured. If we could get a run of games going with Saturday's team we would get a run of points.

Exactly right Tom. Each time we play at least one new player is introduced to the squad and that cannot help. That said Van Spall had a decent first game for a youngster and Tom Windsor was quietly efficient.

Couldn't make it last night, but good to see another Slough youngster Luke Van Spall making his debut. I've known his mum and dad for years and they turned up on Saturday. Some of Luke's relatives used to come to games not so long ago, and if a Slough youngster is good enough get them on the pitch - and a few more relatives and friends will come through the turnstiles.

Having seen Hillingdon twice I think they are a top table side, and have lots of games in hand because of their FA Cup and Trophy run. It's sides like Winchester who we need to make we beat!

It was also easily Hillingdon's best home gate of the season - nearly double what they usually get.
