Robbie'O.. Whats happened to you guys.. You look a shadow of the team i saw play earlier this season.. Where has the midfield bite gone.. And the crisp direct style.. All your players seem to dwell on the ball unsure of what to do with it.. Then theres the defence.. Only bloke that looks like he has half a clue is the young centre back.. And as for the keeper.. Well embarrassing springs to mind.. I seem to remember being told that you had 2 of the best keepers in the league earlier this year?? Surely he isnt one of them.. Although it may explain the amount of goals being shipped! Any sign of short term improvement?? Or is it serious downhill doom and gloom from here?

No banter after the game tonight. Robbie very quiet and refused to say goodbye to me. Ha! Cheer up, you worked hard and you just need a bit of help in attack/midfield/defence mate whistle

I would'nt say i refused to say goodbye - i cant remember what you look like so i didnt know you were there!! I had the hump but at least a stayed for a few drinks, it was all too easy for some to slip out of the door straight away! I said my goodbyes to all of the Town boys & Chris, you should have piped up mate!

We've conceded 13 goals in the last 2 games.
There was an 18 man teamsheet on yesterdays programme - i think 5 of these players were present yesterday.

Nothing a bit of graft & new blood cant solve.

Very well, in my opinion. It would be interesting to note whether the assessor agreed.

Not from Pete, but Jake appeared to be upsetting the forwards with a few decisions on the other side of the field. Of course, that's not to say they were wrong decisions.

Piped up? You had such a long face I thought it best to swerve it. Besides I didn't want to get too close and catch anything off that coat mate grin

I was in the Bigg Town crowd at the bar when you left, my goodbye went ignored.

Glad you brazened it out and stayed for a beer or two though, shows character does that mate.

It was a typical(ish) derby game. Not the best football in the world although Keith Thomas' showboating had me in stitches, as did Stockers header that came off his nose and the odd verbals between him and Robbie. Despite us not playing that well, some good individual performances on the pitch for us, one very pleasing indeed.

I've said it before (pre-season and since) and I'll say it again, the Bigg Utd Keeps may be young and learning his trade still, but too many basic mistakes I'm afraid. Not helped by a really dodgy back line. A wise old head in there with big ball$ would help.

Utd could and should have opened the scoring before we settled down, but Aaron in goal for us did really well to shave a bit of heat of the ball with his legs and Stocker got back superbly to clear off the line. Apart from that and a bit of a [****!!****] up near the end they didn't look like troubling our young Keeps.

We need to strengthen the team further if we are to maintain a lofty league position and I envisage that happening sooner rather than later, indeed we recently signed Joe Jordan! - our one has teeth grin

sounds like Big U v Manor on Saturday could be a feast of attacking football then. Sounds like neither side is capable of defending. We haven't kept a clean sheet all season..there's some hope for you Robbie.

Thanks for the compliment.

Jake was busy second half as you state and I think it was more the forwards straying offside than him making mistakes. Thought he had an excellent game. No problems with any of Jake's decisions on the offsides from the assesor.


Very mnior points from the assesor dring the debrief. He thought all three of us worked well as a team.

Why didn't you come and introduce yourself?

I don't always stay behind after matches, Pete. After ten years of having to entertain or be entertained in boardrooms up and down the country it's nice to be able to go straight home on the final whistle every now and then. smile I'll catch up with you soon, though.
