I would like to take the oppotunity to thank the above for calling me saturday evening (his 89th birthday) to say

how embarrased he was with the actions of the officers of his club, And that of the match officials for having the game abandoned.

 

He complimented me on one of the best sides he has seen in recent times and that how sorry he felt for us.

 

He agreed that the replay should start at half time with us leading 0-2 !

 

Once again thankyou !

One bloke with some dignity and common sense .

 

Enfield officials should be ashamed of themselves, especially that idiot in his orange coat and the two blokes in the tunnel who had a combined weight of 80 stone and a combined height of 4ft 3

it won't set a precedent Boroman.It has happened before as far as i remember and at end of the the day it's also down to people fairness and honesty.I can see both points and as the Enfield gaffer said:he hasn't got a problem with the game being replayed and starting at 2-0.Also well done to the Enfield chairman that shows that there are still honest people in football applauseJust to finish lads...if the powers to be don't show any flexibility and common sense..well you know how to get round it?If i was the Enfield manager i would let Concord score two goals in the first 5 minutes or first half and start from there. smile

As a co owner of the Club I will have the backing of the rest of the board when I say that we will abide by the League’s decision if they say to replay only the second half with the 2-0 score line intact then we will. You were there when I said we had no problem playing the rest of the game in the referee’s room on Saturday.

The ref was told that players safety was an issue by one of your guys due to a floodlight smoking in the first five minutes of the game, But didnt tell him until half time ?

 

Then your safety guy "the real one " told us all there was no player safety issue as he had isolated it ?

 

The reason the ref would not carry on by now was your lot had jumped in the shower !

I said i wanted an official statement thanks. Also i saw a linesman have a look. Im sure he had a say in what happened. At the end of the day its the refs choice. so what if they were in the showers? The ref should make em get their kit back on. Only an OFFICIAL report from the ref will settle this not tossers like onebreast shouting accusations.
