As yesterday seemed to be more of a team performance than one about any one player shining above the other,I suspect we may get quite a few candidates for this award this week. You decide!

Votes accepted up until 6pm on Tuesday of this week.

Yes June,I was thinking the same this morning.Pinns does seem to be coming back to form & has performed better of late.

Jacko is another player that seems to be overlooked for this award. His presence gives everyone a "boost".Does his job exceedingly well wherever he plays. We miss him when he's not there.

Peters with his goal line clearance & continual efforts down that flank.Always a threat to defenders when on a run & does a good job in defence too.Trotty, but for his mistimed tackle, & I thought he was very unfortunate to get penalised for that, played a blinder yesterday.Got caught for speed just the once all day that I could see, down the wing which led to the goal-line clearance but overall a solid effort. Louis Smith played well yesterday also, alongside Trotty & I was pleased with his form yesterday too.Just needs to win more one-on-one headed balls in the air.

No doubt others will get a mention too,but those mentioned above shone for me.A difficult decision to make but for me Jacko gets the nod.An inspiration to all others.

Just beat me to it Andy.I was going to say similar(below):

Cant agree with you there Mike. In past games he hasn't been in tip top form but it was clear to me & a few others too it seems, over the 90 minutes & apart from 2 lapses, including the unfortunate penalty,(harshly done by I thought as I was up that end & he clearly got his toe to the ball,),he was solid all day in defence. Best I've seen him in a long time.Yep.I think you were watching a different game.

About the penalty. I was talking to UU at the time. I'm sure he mentioned to me that the player who was tackled is a dab hand at creating penalties in those situations. The ref obviously fell for it on this occasion. No penalty from where I was standing but I can see how the ref was duped into awarding it,but our penalty was equally a soft one & I think things evened themselves out in the end & justice was seen to be done eventually.

Trotty, with his lack of pace & in those situations must make sure,in the future, that if he tackles there or around that area he makes it look more certain to all, especially the officials, that a clean tackle HAS been made,100%,thereby discounting any thoughts of a penalty in the refs eyes.. Like I said I can understand it being given but Trotty had made a fair tackle I thought on this occasion.

janney is a seasoned ex pro and will always get a penalty in those circumstances without any hesitation from the ref cookie....

having said that our video highlights prove conclusively that trotty took him out and never touched the ball and also proves that the winning one at t'other end wasn't a penalty.....

no complaints as these things happen but the camera doesn't lie...for what its worth I think trotty is a good player manager and most defenders would have done what he did....

Sorry to disagree. I thought Trotty had an excellent game, not just for his play, but also the way he inspired the rest of the team. I thought that was the difference between Tuesday and recent defeats.

Looking at the video and hearing RT's comments afterwards I would say the penalty was fair (and very well tucked away by Janney), but that doesn't detract from Trotty's overall performance.

I also have been impressed with Pinns lately. For one thing he is turning defenders, when he used to carry the ball backwards when he first received it.

It was quite fitting that these two should share the MOM for Tuesday (in my opinion!).

On another subject, it seems we haven't got a designated penalty taker. This is unforgiveable. You can't have players deciding amongst themselves who is going to take it on the day. That could cost 6 or more goals a season. Anyone agree?
