Who the hell writes the match comments on the Club web page.

Were they actually at the game v Dartford ?

Dartford ripped us apart with 4 goals in the first half.

Tell me who in our "normal defence" was suspended ( other than Jamie Nay ) and who was injured ?

Just read other threads on this forum for the truth about the performance.

Given ordinary performances by Dartford v. Waltham Abbey, Redbridge and Bury Town and relatively good performances against those sides by ETFC...yes it was surprising/shocking!

Throw in the fact that ETFC have been playing reasonably well away from home and you can get some idea of the dismay that such a sub-standard performance has created.

....but the result was flattering to our hosts even though they quite clearly deseved to win and win by a margin.

Your dead right OT, WHAT IS THAT ALL ABOUT?

....The result was flattering?

really, you sure, but then again..

....they deserved to win by a margin!!

That quote should go up on the Dartford clubhouse walls with all the other famous quotes they have displayed!

Tickner has been out injured for a month and i'm sure Jim didn't want to bring him on so early in the game.He was forced to do so because the players he started at the back were playing so poorly (or one got injured very early).Tickner and Gant should be first choice centre backs.Campbell should be first choice cover for those positions.Nay should be first choice right-back.Bastian Left-back.None of those five played at the back yesterday.(i presume Gant/Campbell were both injured/suspended).Kofi is wasted at left back.

We need a settled side. And some serious changes.

Nyhama,Mitchell in the centre or midfield.

I few weeks ago all I was hearing about was mistakes being made by Tickner, i.e. Wingate. Please stop just focusing on the last game. Harvey has done well in the period that we have had suspensions and injuries, and I feel he is being hard done by. I also noticed how often Tickner gets caught out of position and beaten for pace against young nifty forwards. He would play because he is the only player who could dominate in the air within the current squad, but his around game is still suspect and not good enough in my book. We are lacking a quality centre-half, or someone of Al James Hannigan's mentality who is going to marshall that defence. At least last year JJ did this somewhat - there is nobody doing that this year.

Gant would be the 1st pick at the back when fit. I would like to see Stephens (is he still with us?), Gant, Tickner (we should dedicate money to finding a quality centre-half to fill the gap here) and Harvey. Bastian has done well of late at left midfield. Campbell right mid.

Great idea, but the club budgeted for 300 people through the turnstiles and we are not hitting that number. Supporters want a covered terrace at the railway end, but that will probably not happen and the club is entering into a lease agreement with BRSSC and I bet that will cost money.

Now if you know where we can get this extra money from, then please let us know. I could always sell another board!

No I totally understand what you mean, I appreciate what people like yourselves do for the club with regards to fundraising etc, and it takes a lot of hardwork and dedication.
I'm on my cricket club committee and understand the financial restraints involved with running a club, albeit on a much smaller scale, and the work that has to be done by a few core members in order to keep the club going.

Maybe cutting down on the size of the squad, and putting aside a bit more to lure 1 or 2 top players at this level? Or do the players simply get paid based upon whether they play or not?
