not a good day for the Manor. New manager and another new group of players but stll the same problems. Not bad going forward but look dodgy at the back. Although we went ahead with a terrific headed goal, WGC always looked dangerous and the ease with which they scored their goals was embarassing.

Lato - I was speaking to one of 'our' fans yesterday who talked at length to 'the great' Tommy Lambourne's dad at Amersham last week. Following Julian Hudson's departure at Grosvenor Vale Lambourne found the new Manager an absolute nutcase, as did 'the great Athur Barker and Uduma Kalu and all three weren't interested in hanging around, apparently he would take a player off at the drop of a hat if he put a pass astray or failed to win the ball and he lost count of the tea cups that were smashed against the dressing room wall.

Does it matter as it's irrelevant now, if you must know the game had already been postponed but I knew it would never take place in a million years following all the rain we had in Haringey on Friday. I think this is an issue that will rankle with Allan Fenn over the next four months, he will want home games played rather than a huge backlog to catch up on in March and April and evening games at that when key players are not always available or in the right frame of mind following a hard day at work.

Tring are a decent side - when we beat them 6-2 a couple of weeks ago, they were missing key defenders - last three home games 7-0 (Cockfosters), 2-6 (Hertford), 7-1 (Bigg U)
