Pathetic! simple as that Im afraid.

Too many old pals acts going on as well, Hammatt & Hall appear to pick the team rather than the manager, how on earth did they both walk back into the side today? dropping Valandia, Mitchell & Foster to the bench just stinks!

As pointed out by others Hammatt spent most of the time on the floor or moaning to the ref, Rudi hasn't been on form all season & today he was non-existent, others were just too poor to believe they had a Town shirt on.

That line up just proved everyone on here correct that has been questioning JC's selection process for months.

That result has been coming for a few months too, we have got away with it a few times this season but today our poor performances caught up with us.

Still we are still in the hunt & have been unlucky in a few games recently.......No they are not my comments but what you will probaly hear on Wednesday night at the meeting from those concerned!

Tuesday 11
Hasler, Dannie, Nyamah, Tickner, Gant, Magona, Velandia, Hall, Crace, Mitchell, Grieves

4 days later the team is

Saturday 11
Foster, Dannie, Nyamah, Hodge, Harvey, Bastian, Georgiou, Hall, Crace, Hammatt, Grieves

6 changes in 4 days - We needed to go into that match with a settled side like Dartford. Correct me if I'm wrong but it looked like 1 change! Look at the programme and look how settled the Dartford team selection is!

We needed players with an understanding of how each other play! NOT experienced players! A lot of teams have played Dartford this season and beat them - Waltham Abbey managed to win there!

Another big game another Jim/Pete panic I'm afraid!

We lose our right side due to suspension everything then falls on Nyamah and Bast to get supply to the front pair! Dannie and Georgiou just weren't happening! This is what happens when we pick up too many bookings - Teams/Smug Refs punish us!

Midweek Mitchell made two for Crace and scored one. 4 days later he is on the bench!

New keeper straight in for a big game

Bryan straight back after a rest! I preferred Mitchell over Hammatt.

Most fans on the terraces preferred a front two of Foster and Crace up front with Hammatt behind them! Grieves doesn't currently make our first 11.

Finally do you ****ing homework and look at other teams it was obvious Dartford watched how Wingate and Finchley beat us and repeated the same stuff beautifully! Dartford deserved their win! Well done Dartford!

Jim / Pete - not good enough!

I agree with your view on things DHT.

It was a miserable day to be a Towner, and it totally ruined my weekend. We need consistency in our team selection, and it frustrates me to see the constant chopping and changing of our starting XI.

I hope Charlie was unavailable, because playing the new guy was a major error. He had better be back between the sticks next week. Why is Foster not starting after performing well in recent weeks? Please JC, get your best 12 or 13 and stick with them.

The shape was all wrong yesterday, you cannot play Bryan behind a front two in a 4-4-2, and Rudi was left too exposed in the middle of the park. Like someone has said, we need to STOP giving away free kicks in dangerous areas. I do believe all the goals in the 1st half were from set-pieces. Our distinct lack of a centre-half that dominates in the air was exposed by Dartford, and in particular from these set-pieces.

One thing I do want to know is why Hammatt was singled out for abuse though? What about the others - he played no worse than say Crace, Hall, Georgiou, Nyamah, Bastian or Harvey for example? Was he to blame for conceding 6 goals? I agree that he needs to stop going to ground as much as he does however!! At the right time and place it is clever play (little nudge in the back and go to ground), in order to win a free-kick in a good area, but it is something to be done in moderation.

Someone saying that Mitchell and Harvey are not good enough, in my opinion is nonsense. Max is a very promising talent, and Harvey just needs the right man alongside him (Hodge in my opinion has looked very suspect everytime I have seen him - Tilbury, Redbridge and yesterday). I also think that Glen may be better suited to playing at left-back, and maybe he is not the right man to play in a centre-back pairing after all? I'm sure someone will tell me wink I would like to see BH playing behind OF and RC, but you need to play 3-5-2 to do so. Players also need to stop being picked on their status and reputation, if those such as Rudi, Bryan and Ricci are not performing, those that are need to be given a chance, i.e. Mitchell and Foster.

JC started with the wrong line-up and wrong formation yesterday, and the fact that he needed to make two 1st half subs proved this, but by then the game was effectively over!! Why change the whole make-up of the right side of the team by playing Dannie and Georgiou? I sometimes wonder if being a football fan is worth it after days like yesterday. He appears to have lost all faith in Velandia also.

Come on you Towners!! cry

Totally agree MST, I believe it was the crudeness of his going to ground that wound up several pockets of Towners behind the goal, no he certainly wasnt any worse than the other eleven.

The type of game we played Saturday was wrong! The type of game we played Tuesday reminded me of how York City played earlier in the season when I watched them with Dukie! This hold the ball up game and short corners is old fashioned and really only park football these days. On Tuesday it was no messing and the ball was in the net. Time wasting just gives defenders time to get in position and put the striker off his game. If you are going to ground at least don't make you own fans wet themselves laughing every time you do it! It became more like clowning!

If the old pals are playing well they earn their place but they aren't the best at the moment. Having said that Dartford must have foregone players on the best form for a settled side but they got away with it.

Back in the damp and gloomy north.... good to see you too Andy, and Gazza and DHT - and Eddie... and to hear the drum!

I really don't know what to say about the game, or the performance, that hasn't hasn't been said. There is/was nothing special about Dartford at all, they simply did the basics right. They could easily have had 2 or 3 more in the second half, the missed a couple of sitters. Oh yes - we hit the post at 0-2, Bryan set Rudi up nicely to shoot over the bar at 0-0. and Bryan missed a golden chance from a header. Oh and we got a goal - blimey, we were unlucky, we should have lost 6-4! Ho bleeding ho!

I thought Rudi showed some spirit and mostly passed to a player in blue, and Bryan was much better in the first half than when pushed up in the second. We do need to be told what that keeper was all about. Only Maclaren would voluntarily pick a new keeper for a vital game! (And that worked well didn't it...)

Otherwise it is pointless to pick out any players for praise or criticism, it was that bad. Some of the goals were defensively farcical. You guys have my sympathy and admiration for watching that ever week - but the Powers That Be should be warned that people won't for much longer. And that they are Powers That Be By Permission only.

Strange stadium, I wonder how you extend it (if need be)? I presume all that timber is treated with fire retardant?

And it's still dark, raining and miserable.

if we put out our youth they wouldnt of gave up like that. to many big time charlies in the side players at our club should play for our club not the finacial reward they seek from none league clubs were paying them to entertain us and its not good enough. players like rudi slowing the game down to take every free kick that just allows dartford to regroup. and what was mitchell doing on the bench he is the clubs most inform player.

if his good enough his old enough.
