As one of many exiles who tune into the match commentary, it can't be that hard to ensure that a simple piece of IT is working correctly, even if it has to be moved! Have they heard of wireless at HDP yet??? Cripes, I'm not IT expert but even my house has it so that I can escape to the garage for my Sautrday afternoon fix!!!

 

And btw, its been playing up for a while so 'once in a while' it is not! I'm sure there are plenty of Hornchurch fans who were looking forward to listening in too.

The office move was dependent on BT moving all of the telephone connections which only happened yesterday afternoon. Despite having planned for the move and purchased a lot of extra hardware to provide connectivity across half of the ground the solution I proposed does not seem to have worked / cannot be properly configured from London (where I am).

 

We did add a message to www.margate-fc.com yesterday afternoon stating that some issues were likely. Unfortunately despite trying to configure things all morning things just won't run.

 

PERSONAL VIEW: This service is also dependent on donations, and as many other football clubs have discovered, the cost of having, running and managing an audio server is exceptionally high. As the number of donations made to help cover the cost of the service have been less than forthcoming this season we cannot unfortunately guarantee that it will always be available. And in this case it cannot be.

Ah, understand now, you said the magic word - 'BT' - explains many things, they are the most incompetent telecom company I have ever come across!!! oh btw, I can only donate so much you know! And I have said that I would be happy to pay a subscription for the service too!!

 

Please do not feel that I am slagging the actual service itself off!
