Which away games will you go to?

While numbers through the gate indicate those with the time and availability they do not in any way indicate those who were 'there'.
I'm sure most of you wish you could be 'there' for every game, home and away.
For the international members of MFC they're all away games.

I think a lot of MFC members joined, as I did myself, to get a connection with the Mecca of football..the UK.
I know some of you wish we had chosen Mecca FC but fate and finances steered us your way.
Despite the protests of some among you regarding our 'instant loyalty' and your measurement of that loyalty being increased attendances... I actually do feel, despite never having been there (I worked out the closest I've been is actually Hartley Wintney), despite having seen nothing more than the odd YouTube clip and having listened to one BBC Kent broadcast that I do feel connected to EUFC.

Given time and favourable circumstance I'm sure more MFC members will actually be there.
Given a couple of weeks off and a QANTAS airfare, I'll be there.
I'll preempt some responses by saying..Yes, it will be a Return ticket!...Yes, I will complain about the beer and the weather!
I'll love every minute of it.

It's great that you have that connection with Ebbsfleet whilst living so far away. Just wished we had that kind of sentiment from people around the Gravesend area. We expect attendances to go up which will be great for all involved, especially the players. The problems with polls are that if they do not materialise then someone is being set up to be shot at. I just can't wait for all the spin to go away and to concentrate on the football. When are you planning to come over?

The wife (waggasally) and I are doing 6 weeks in Spain/Italy/Greece next April/May.

Remote possibility of getting there for April 19th game.

Will require deft negotiation by waggamick!

Otherwise looking at retiring early 2011 and will definitely be attending then.

WaggaSally goes to relatives in Surrey(I think)..Waggamick sets camp at Stonebridge Road.

By the way...any of you thinking of coming to Australia in the meantime..let me know...get you down to Wagga (noone here says Wagga Wagga0 and show you the real Australia.

I was only showing my nephew his toy dragstar thing last saturday morning. The one where you wind a handle and the car shoots of with a parachute

Makes you think that hopefully when my nephew reaches 35 , sponge bob will be dead

Yes I agree - and in order to create opportunities for MyFC members to attend I have initiated discussions on the MyFC forum for coordinating attendance at home games. Currently, people attend by making their own way by car, train or bus. It is haphazzard, expensive etc. I would envisage that regional MyFC members groups would organise buses to home games which would reduce cost, allow members to meet one another and ensure that members have an opportunity to attend games in a structured and organised fashion. Hopefully this will have the impact of increasing the number of MyFC members attending. It will, however, take a few weeks to get into place, as the functionality for the MyFC site comes online, as negotiations take place with bus companies, as memebrs groups get better organised and as a proper system of structured coordination of the groups and visits is put in place.

If you come all the way from Wagga to watch the Fleet play Alty Mick I don't think you would have to buy your own beer.

And the 269 could have included existing EUFC fans who would have gone but not increased the attendance.

For the game against York - about 4,000 have indicated and 147 say they will definitely go. Not 800. Now if 800 MyFC members indicate that they will definitely go and only 150 turn up - then I would agree that it is a disappointment.

So 269 DEFINITELY MyFC turned up? Horsesh*t - you admitted youself that these wouldn't come alone so that figure should be increased. Add to that the fact the some of the 'maybe' people might have turned up, and it goes to prove that clicking a 'yes' button is much easier than actually turning up!

The away attendance is great for atmosphere, but unless people (and thats local people, as well as MyFC sheeple) turn up at HOME games the club will struggle.

This should be MyFC's target, getting more bodies through the turnstiles at Stonebridge Road...

How do we know that 269 myFC people turned up ?

Do they get issued with special tickets ?

Do they use a seperate Turnstile ?

Do they wear special anoraks so we can identify & count them them ??

What with the bar takings supposedly up by 50% ( are we saying that MyFC members are alkies ?)....seems like more spin than a Labour Government !!!

Total b*llocks !!

Cos they said "definitely" on a website

Yes

They use the 'owners' entrance

They prefer to wear the shirt for the team they REALLY support

If the penny finally dropped and you realised that £35 actually bought you eff all, you'd need a drink

And yes, it is

Does it really matter though. Are we not getting to hung up on the numbers thing. If this take over means we get an extra 400 on each home gate that means with the current support plus away fans we will be reaching an acceptable level to maintain finances. The added benefit with the investment means we can build for the future. If one businessman had taken over the club we would still be in the same situation of having 800 - 1000 supporters there. At least with the current situation the possibilities of bigger crowds are more achievable.

TBH DA11, am not 'hung up' at all. The MyFC thing will probably be the turning point for Fleet. A huge (at this level) amount of money been given to the club over a few seasons can only be good. Its the bullsh*t factor that comes with it I have issues with - including the increasing attendance subject.

I understand that Patman, it bugs me as well but I try (mostly not very successfully) to ignore it. They have to put a spin on everything to keep their members 'up for it' especially when you think how long some have been members without anything happening. Hopefully it will settle down soon.

Thats the difference between us - I have no intention of ignoring it! Any football supporter has the ups and downs from following their side. The fact that the money will probably enable Fleet to go on a big 'up' means that most MyFC sheeple will not have experienced any 'downs', that surely should be why they don't get too easy a time of it on here!

I agree Patman !! I can cope with the natural "ups & downs" of footie (just !)......it's the spin/lies that p*ss me off !!

Can someone from MyFC answer these two questions:-

a) How do you know that the bar takings were up 50% ? Did an EUFC Director give this information ? and on what figure was the percentage increase based ?

B) How do you (MyFC) count your 269 members through the gate ??

Cheers,

Guys if you want to have a reasonable discussion about things I will engage - if you just want to gripe about everything hten there isn't much point

As I already indicated previously Will Brooks put up a notice on the MyFC forum stating that the club had informed him that the bar takings were up 50%. Don't know which particular individual was involved, don't know what the figure was based on, but it appears that the club officials regarded it as a positive and conveyed it to Will Brooks as such.

Didn't say there was 269 MyFC members at the Stafford game. I said that 269 MyFC members indicated that they would attend and that this was roughly equivalent to the increase over the attendance at the same game last season (ignoring the different circumstances and the fact that some of the 269 could have been existing EUFC supporters).

Now you can whinge about this, just as you whinge about everything MyFC. Your choice. But if MyFC wasn't involved in the current process I am sure you would still be whinging about other things the club was up to. In fact I know you would be because, looking back over this forum, certain individuals have being doing nothing but whinging and whining for a long time.
