Saw Sir Stan play many years ago in the then traditional pre cup final Friday evening game between Old England and Young England at Highbury.

OE forward line was Matthews, Mannion, Lawton, Langton and Finney

The only YE player I remember was Peter Swann

It was a magic evening of football. I remember Lawton going for a header at the edge of the penalty area pointing to the keeper where he was going to head the ball and it going into that very spot like a bullet.
