Massive Game Tonight

Title chasing Brimsdown Rovers entertain Oxhey Jets this evening, a 19:30 kick off. I would love to be there, but unfortunately I'm suffering from stress. I will be rooting for Rovers from the comfort of my bed, with a glass of Pernod and black in one hand and a copy of Nuts in the other.

Crap game, very few chances, Oxhey missed last minute penalty. Well taken goal, though.

What the hell happened to you lot on Tuesday evening? I nearly coughed up my delicious hot lasagne in the Barton Rovers boardroom after I phoned Chalfont for their result.

Started without our two regular centre halves - replaced by a decent reserve centre back and a (5'9") midfielder. First half neither side deserved anything, except that Terrell Lewis managed to pull a rabbit out of the hat with a superb strike out of the blue - 1-0 at half time. We started piling forward cavalry charge style and forgot to leave anyone behind to defend. CSP got a second with a breakaway, via a rebound off the post falling at the feet of a midfielder, the we got worse! Centre midfielder deservedly sent off on 77 min for a diabolical tackle, then we decided to increase our foolhardiness and really attack! REsult - two more breakaway goals for CSP and our worst ever SSMFL result.

 

P.S. CSP are a very good outfit - gave our front two absolutely nothing, and Lewis/Bubb up front are a real hanful
